Dear valued customers, I have made the incredibly difficult decision to temporarily close shop for the next few months. Being an elementary school teacher of a split class of nearly 30 students during times of covid-19 demands more of my time than originally anticipated. There simply isn't enough of me to go around and giving myself less on my plate is my way to honour my boundaries and make sure I can give my best to my students as well as to my own family.... I will miss creating special gifts for everyone this coming holiday season. But I take comfort in knowing that I can still spread joy and love in other ways- this time, through teaching and touching young lives. This isn't goodbye. Just a see you soon. I am crushing on the finished look of a recent star map I made! I was recently asked to do a slightly different take on my star maps by using a polygonal heart shape to show the night sky of a very special day. My customer picked out her own frame and sent me this picture. I am just loving it!

My heart hurts a little each time I create a memorial piece I'm an empath, or so I have read! I am a person who not only understands but can also feel the emotions of those around me. It can get a little overwheming sometimes. I've always loved passionately and felt passionately, especially about the things I care about. Hi everyone! I hope that you are all staying well and safe. Believe it or not, Christmas 2020 is 16 weeks and 5 days away. I have already been receiving early Christmas orders and am so grateful for the ample lead time, especially now that I will be balancing my new daytime teaching job with my small business. I am excited to be offering Santa photo backdrop pictures this year. Social distancing could still very well be in effect later this year, so I think these digital prin...ts are a great alternative to pictures with Santa. Just email me your favourite photo to [email protected] and let me know which style you want. Depending on the size of your photo, I may need to crop it for best fit. These are priced at $20 each for a digital print. 8x10 hardcopies can be printed for $5 and 11x14 hardcopies at $10 on professional glossy photo paper. Looking forward to hearing from you. -Michelle

Hello All! After a whirlwind of events, I have accepted an LTO (long-term occasional) teaching position from September through spring. Although I am waiting for my grade level(s) to be confirmed, I feel very fortunate to be called to lead children during these unprecedented times and hope I can live up to be the mentor, hero and rock that they need.... With that said, I will be limiting the number of custom orders that I can take on this year for the holiday season ahead. There is only one of me and I need to take care of myself through proper load management, sleep, and work/ life balance. This could mean that I may cut off orders earlier this year (Early October instead of late November) to ensure that I can complete everyone's order in time. Response times will be relegated to evenings and weekends when I am not at my regular daytime job, with slight delays. Thank you for your understanding, your patience and your support If I can ask one thing of you, please extend extra kindness to yourselves, to your children, to your children's teachers, and to each other. These are tough times. But we are strong and we are resilient and we will get through this together. - Michelle

This is my celebratory, "I Conquered Today" wine! Sorry if I've been a little quiet! For those of you who may not know, I am also a teacher (currently a supply teacher but albeit a teacher). ... I am currently managing two PD mini-courses, with both of my children at home, while managing my small business, and getting housework done Wanna know how I do it? I'll tell yah! A lot of hard work and a lot of late nights, with a little bit of extra naps and a little bit of wine Anyway, once a nerd and always a nerd and I'm nearly done with my courses. Warning: Vulnerability Post I hate sharing sh*t online, sometimes. But today I feel compelled to share. So, here goes... I am not ok. With September's plan for full-time schooling and not enough funding provided by the Ontario Government to provide a #SafeSeptember for all staff and students, I am struggling. ... I know I am not the only one in this boat and I empathize for all families of all situations. There are things that are out of my control, but I also see what is still within my control and right now, I am focussing on doing what I can to protect my emotional and physical wellbeing and of my family's. And for the things I can't control, I will choose to Let Go and Let God. I've been through hard situations before. I've taught abroad during a time when society was recovering from a natural disaster and tragedy while adjusting to my new role as a mother. I can do hard things. I can do this. I can do hard things through Christ who gives me strength. How are you all coping?
