Today we said goodbye to a very special "staff" member. Ellen crossed "Rainbow Bridge" today in the loving arms of her most special person Joanne. Ellen has been a popular member of the staff of MVS for the past 17+ years. She was Joanne's "assistant" ensuring that all ran as it should on the front desk. She enjoyed the attention of clients as she took her role of greeter very seriously (as long as no one tried to pick her up!). I'm not sure there are many kitties out there with the fan club following like Ellen had. Ellen will leave many memories and stories not only with staff members but clients alike. We will miss you silly girl and we will always remember you.....until we see you again <3

Team Member Feature: Sylvia; Registered Veterinary Technician A crucial member of the team for 23 years. Sylvia's incredible charismatic, outgoing, caring personality is one that can not be beat. It radiates through the clinic bringing a smile to every face. She is also a teacher at Algonquin College in the Veterinary Technician program for 13 years.Her natural teaching techniques are invaluable for all her students to succeed in the medical field.... Sylvia has two collie x dogs Doug and Coco Chanel. She also shares her home with Albert Einstein the cat and a barn full of Angus & Charolais cattle Sylvia loves being home, living life with her husband Gerry, who works in the tech sector. Sylvia enjoys her 3 daughters Kathryn, Robyn and Avery, who are all busy with school, sports, travel and friends. Sylvia spends her down time gardening, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding on local waterways and sitting by campfires with friends at home. In the winter she enjoys skiing, snowmobiling and is the leader of the 4-H square dancing club. Thank you Sylvia for all that you do here at the clinic and keeping the staff on their toes with your wonderful personality.
