Repost from @wander.thirsty Miss Things / Toronto / Canada . The @missthingshawaiian design was inspired by it’s owner’s personal adventures in places such as Hawaii, Tahiti, and Bora Bora. The execution of that design was lead by the Toronto firm, @soliddesign. What makes this place so special is that you get all the vacation vibes you want from a tropical style bar in a great authentic way. . Get set up at their on the inside or the patio for some of the best tropical drinks in TO.

Five fuzzy years and over 50,000 fuzzy wawas later, we actually almost forgot our own birthday! Thanks to anyone and everyone that’s ever visited us looking for a little escape at our wannabe tiny paradise. We hope we’ve helped you find one, and we hope to see you again for many more. Thanks also to everyone that supported us and lent us a helping hand to reopen this week. You know who you are. We love you and we raise our coconuts to you. Happy National Rum day too! Thanks to NOW Magazine for speaking with us about the work our team continues to do with our platform to help empower local Toronto restaurants to take back the...ir customers and manage their own takeout and delivery. The current health and economic crisis has shown the many cracks in the business models of third party food delivery apps and marketplaces that charge unsustainable commissions and fees to our restaurants. It's been amazing to watch so many restaurant and business owners recently rally together to to work to change this. It's also been incredible to witness the outpouring of support from customers in our community that previously may not have understood that companies like UberEats, Skip the Dishes, DoorDash and Ritual charge restaurants anywhere from 15-35% in commission on every dollar they spend at local restaurants. What's quickly becoming clear to all of us, is that there's no better way to support your local restaurant than by ordering direct. With that being said, we hope you'll click on the link below and order direct from one of the many great options on our quickly growing platform of local Toronto restaurants. Order direct. Take a trip in the sunshine. Pick it up, take it home, eat it. Food technology that works for the restaurant industry really can be that simple. https://ambassador.ai/app

As this global health and economic crisis unfolds, it’s quickly becoming apparent that restaurants and small business teams are going to need to adapt in order to survive. We've just finished building a new website for Miss Thing's in order to facilitate offering takeout orders when we can safely relaunch, and realized that other restaurants may benefit from what we've created. I've included a link to our new website below. Many restaurants that are processing orders indepe...ndently without food delivery partners are not always able to offer contactless payment. Having customers pay for orders in person upon pickup or receipt of delivery increases the risk of exposure for both staff and customers. The solution we’re using, Ambassador @customerchat allows your customers to order from your menu and pay online in advance for pick up or independent delivery. The ordering app looks and feels a lot like UberEats, but there is no commission on your sales and 100% of your sales revenue settles directly to your bank account. Yes, this is very much like a Shopify for restaurants, and we would like to help provide this safer and more efficient solution for other restaurants if they're interested. My team and I are currently volunteering our services to create websites and upgrades for restaurants and other retailers that are trying to make the transition to online sales free of charge. If you think we could help you, please send us a DM, or email [email protected]. We will be taking on as many requests as we can handle. Stay safe. Stay strong. As the global coronavirus crisis continues to unfold, we have concluded that it is in the best interests of the health and safety of our team, our customers and our community at large, for us to temporarily close and cease operations at our restaurant for the time being. All special events will be rescheduled, and all event deposits will be refunded in full. While our regular takeout and delivery menu is also currently suspended, our team is actively working on developing a ...new special menu comprised of more cost effective takeout and delivery food options to potentially help see us through these challenging times. We will keep you posted on our progress. We want to wish all of our customers, purveyors, suppliers, industry colleagues, neighbours, supporters and friends all the best during what is undoubtedly going to be a very challenging time for all of us. Stay safe. Stay strong. See you soon. Mahalo. XO Miss Things
