Monstone Transport 19.01.2022

Well! It is that time of year again. Christmas! another year has gone by so horribly fast and this one so much faster for so many reasons. Of course the main one has been this COVID shite we all have to deal with. I hope you find yourself safe as this 2020 gong show slowly, takes the exit door with a swift kick in the chronological ass. Speaking for myself only, it has been a really rough year. Health wise, I had some challenges that are now being sorted out. Thank God! And... I mean that. Personally I was hit full on with the biggest hit in the heart I never thought i would endure. Again! Time, His grace and great friends around me; day by day I get stronger. Business took a dive, but all my friends/customers are safe and are eagerly planning this coming summer. Aren't we all? WhooHoo! I am not really on Facebook anymore except to check on business and then out. Deactivate. I, for one struggle with this time of year on a good year as those who are close to me would attest. No need to say how much I will be this year. And I know many, many, if not most of the people out there are struggling now and will struggle with it more as Christmas approaches.. I will find strength in the fact that I have my health and that it could always be worse. I am doing my best to count my blessings, even thought I wake up a lot of mornings teary-eyed and go to bed teary-eyed. One ride at the time, i will plough through. One sunset ,one sunrise, one prayer a the time, i will plough through. And you will too. I hope and wish that you find your ride, your sunset, your sunrise, your shoulder(s) to lean on, your source of shit eating grins and that you make it through, still; ............................ strong and still yourself. So from me, to you, a simple Merry Christmas and Happy new year. Be safe, Be good (Not too good) With love, Paul Iceman Mondor

Good morning riders. I have a question to anyone who would like to answer it. I met a fellow rider a couple rides ago. And as we were talking about motorcycle travels, destinations and costs, turns out that his brother had shipped his bike thru Monstone; he asked the following. "Paul! How many riders, do you think actually know how much it costs to go on a long trip as they start planning? I went. Hmmm! I do not know. But based on my experience, i would say very few! It tu...rns out that he tours quite a bit as he has the time. He is retired. But he was saying that no matter where he went, pretty much each touring rider he met, had no real idea of how much it cost to go from, let's say; Victoria to Halifax. So I am going to ask it to you if you do not mind. If you could help me with this. I know how much myself. Lord knows I have done it enough, and I know how much; whether you are a sport rider going at Mac 1 all day and sleeping in Tim Horton's or if you are a rider doing no more than 500 kms a day and only does five stars hotels. So based on who you are and what you like, and how you like to ride. Can you answer this question. HOW MUCH DO YOU THINK IT COST FROM VANCOUVER TO HALIFAX? Based on the following. One way or return? What do you ride? How long you need? What type of hotel you like? What do you eat? Even if you have never done it. Or planned to do it. Just a guess from you would help me. Thank you Ride safe Iceman

Good morning riders. I hope everyone is managing well through these times that are so hard for so many. I hope you are all safe and healthy. This situation has shifted and changed the way many riders are planning their trips this summer. With border crossing, whether between us and the US or abroad. Being this unstable or in many cases closed; many are now taking advantage of this to cross or travel the world's most beautiful country. Ours! Canada!... I know a lot of you and lots of you know me and know I know this country like the back of my hands. And I NEVER get tired of crossing it coast to coast. NEVER! Many of you have reached out to me via texts and email this last week and especially the last two, three days asking for transport, advice and help with this awesome road trip that is from Vancouver BC to Cape Spear Newfoundland. I appreciate the fact you understand I am not always quick at answering, but I do. Thank you for asking and in many cases already allowing me to transport you bikes. As you know I am a one man gig as I do not trust anyone with my name and reputation. I wish i could accommodate everyone, but I cannot. I apologize for not having any recommendations for someone to transport your rides when i cannot because i am booked during your dates. I am sure you understand when I say that if I recommend someone, and they damage your bike and/or screw up your trip, vacation etc that without meaning any harm, you would say when telling about the ruined trip, "Paul recommended me this guy, company or (Fill the blank)" So I cannot. There is only one Iceman, one OCD with your bike (s) in my care and only one deadly punctual me. Thank you again and in advance for the awesome season Monstone transport has ahead. Have a great summer, be safe and enjoy! Life is short and may not be here in five minutes. Live, laugh and enjoy. At the end, when it is all said and done and it will be time to leave this world, it is not the things you bought or accumulated you will remember. It is the people you met along the way. What a better way to build lifetime memories then a motorcycle trip. See you on the road! And if you see me, please stop and say Hi! I am sure we'd have a lot of stories to exchange. WhooHoo! Hi Riders. Looks like a lot of you are planning trips next summer. From anywhere to all over. That is cool. Monstone already has bookings into next October. We are stoked. We will have a new addition to help us move your bikes. As you know my 40-foot custom built 40-foot trailer was vandalized and written off. So, to make sure I am not going to let so many of you down next summer i have ordered a 32-footer. A bit smaller but I will carry the same number of bikes as ...Continue reading

Good morning. First! Happy new year to all of you. Hope you are safe, well and surrounded by those who love you. As 2021 shows its face, many people (Riders) from what i can see are starting to plan a new year's riding season. I am thankful and feeling privileged that you are already making Monstone part of your year. As of now, none of use know if travelling through all the provinces will be possible. I am doing my best to be optimistic and positive and hope we will be. The ...first trip if all goes well will be in the spring. End of march most likely. I know we will all try our best to plan and make it happen. I will do my best as well as i always do to take the stress and uncertainties about moving your bikes and toys. You can reach me here, at https://monstonetransport.com/ or on my phone at 250-812-3276. Till then, be good (Well! Not too good!) be safe. And hopefully see you out there. Paul Iceman Mondor

Transport update. Hi there! First, I want to say thanks for all riders; local and across the country who thought of me for transporting their pride and joy during these really screwed up times. Now that winter is approaching here (Laughable) and has arrived in the rest of the country, Monstone's season is officially coming to an end. The driving across the country in winter had become dangerous and I have not done anything past December 1st. The way the Long-distance truck...ers are now, is just too risky. Just too many dangerous and careless drivers out there now. Because I value my life (Believe me I had few close calls), and I value my cargo; winter transport is no more. I am already getting plenty of requests for next summer and YES.... I am still in business. Now with that said. I am blessed enough to have many friends in the riding community, and I was just recently told that many thought Monstone was no more. Not true! There’s been a life changing event in my life that has turned a lot of things upside down, but I’m slowly bouncing back. But Monstone is still running and will resume next spring. I might be able to do local BC short distance stuff like from Victoria to the Okanagan area and back. But that will be about it. No northern BC and unless it is really worth it nothing further than that. But you can always ask. So, till next spring, you all stay safe and keep well through these times that are screwed up at best. Paul Iceman Mondor

Hello Riders! Hope everyone is safe con and fun the saddle. COVID has reaped havoc all over but life is resuming slowly. I’ve had many requests lately. Enough for Monstone to be able to a trip east from Victoria, leaving on 9th (my birthday)or 10th. If any of you needs a bike or toy transported, I have room coming back west for now. Thank you to customers (friends) who thought of Monstone at this time. As usual I feel privileged that you put your trust in us.... Good morning! I hope everyone is doing well and keeping safe in these really weird times. For a lot of us, these times have been hard. Financially, emotionally and socially. Not mentioning, physically and psychologically, I, for one have and still am going through rough times. But with God's grace and time, I will get through and so shall you. No need to say motorcycle transport has been slow and it is understandable. But things are coming back slowly and wanted to let you k...now that Monstone is saddling back up. I am aiming to do another trip in September. Not sure I will reach the Maritimes, but I will certainly reach Québec. If you have something in mind and would like us to help, please do not hesitate. Stay safe and healthy. I hope that through it all that you had a great rising summer. Paul Iceman Mondor

Monstone Transport 19.11.2020

Well! As operator of Monstone transport. I have decided to put the scheduled trips on hold. For many reasons. All as important as the next. 1st- My health. Going on a 13,000 kms trip across the country, it is literally impossible to avoid dangerous contact. Either with things that were handled by careless people or people period. 2nd- It looks like the venues i have for support in case of break downs are closed. So being stuck in Northern Ontario or middle of prairies with n...o way of help and really expensive motorcycles in my trailer is not an option. 3rd- In spring and summer i sleep in my truck Hand made bed in Canopy) all the time except one time eastbound and one night westbound. The motels i use are closed. And truck stops or stations I usually use are down to minimal service, so no showers. 4th- Let's just say that i really do not trust people these days. Hurting each for butt wipe? I am sure that seeing my rig parked at night in some places would trigger some twit's mind to try t do something foolish. Without giving too much details as to what i am packing in my truck, i can only say that without a doubt or a fraction of a second hesitation that it would be a life-ending decision on their part. I GUA-RAN-TEE you that. So till further notice no transport. There will be other seasons.. We will rise from this if we all use our brains. Till next time, please; take care of yourself first, then each other.
