We always love visits from our favourite breeders. These are the adorable faces we got to see today.

UPDATE! Our Overweight Management Program and Competition is going wonderfully. We have had a couple of dropouts, but no one expects 100% all the time. That being said, the one's still currently in our program are making remarkable progress. Daisy is our poster pet for the program, and a great example of good work here. She began at 6.32 kg, and a body condition score of 7. Due to some issues she had developed, weight gain was unfortunate with her. That being said, at her mo...st recent weigh-in, she reached 5.54 kg. This is incredibly close to her goal weight of 5.5 kg. Below are two photos of her. The first is the original photo taken at the beginning of the program. The other? Taken today. As a result of her weight loss, she has gained lots of energy, is actually playing with the staff, and has an easier time getting around. Often now you can find her meowing to let us know she has found her toy mouse, something she didn't have the energy to do with her previous weight. We want to send out an enormous thank you and great job to all the pet's in our program. You are doing incredible work. Keep it up! It is achievable. Let's achieve it together. See more

A lot goes into a dental cleaning in a vet clinic. From the heated drapes to the instruments themselves, it requires a lot of preparation and knowledge to make sure everything goes smoothly. Dental cleanings are not easy procedures. First we put the pet under anesthetic so that they are sound asleep during the process. We provide IV fluids to stabilize blood pressure and provide hydration. And their oxygen levels and heart rate are constantly monitored. Then the cleaning begi...ns. Afterwards, we x-ray the jaw to find out if we need to do any extractions based on the roots. Some teeth are obvious, others are not. We like to make sure we are as thorough as possible. When the dental cleaning is all over, the patient is monitored until they are ready to go home with medications and lots of love. Providing top quality dental care for pets is just one of our favourite things to do here. As we know that pet dental health is just as important as our own. See more
Here are some before photos of the patients that are taking part in our Overweight Management Program. Fun fact : Did you know that we base weight for animals less on the actual scale weight, and more on a Body Condition Score? We then use the body condition scores to calculate what the ideal weight should be for the patient. A body condition score is rated out of 9. With 1 being extremely underweight, and 9 being obese. Ideally, we like to see clients at a 5. This means that we can feel their ribs easily without really seeing them, and the have a dip in their waist just behind where the ribs end. Our OM Program is still running for anyone who is interested. Please call the clinic at 780-929-7363, or send us a direct message to find out how to enroll your pet.
Wishing all of our clients, and potential new clients, a wonderful and joyous new year! Our clinic would like to thank everyone who has helped us make this year a success for us. Everyone who trusted us with the care of their pet's. And, everyone who gave us the chance to become their vet clinic for the first time. Without any of you, 2020 would've been so much worse. But we got lucky. Happy New Year. Stay safe.
Did someone say Santa Photos?! That's right. Santa photos will be happening again. This year on November 21, 2020, we will be safely doing photos with good Ol' St. Nick and your lovely pets. To book a slot to have these done, please call the clinic at 780-929-7363. Or send us a direct message.

Good day everyone! It is with sad hearts that we have to let you all know that there will be no trick or treating at the clinic this year. Due to the Pandemic, we are choosing to help keep everyone safe and healthy and not hand out candy. It wasn't an easy decision to make, but we feel it is the best for our staff and for our amazing clients. Have a spooky, scary, and safe Halloween everyone!
Just a friendly reminder that we are open on Sundays again beginning THIS Sunday! Just another great day to see our awesome clients. 9am-1pm, give us a call to book.
The Dignified Dog Trainer is doing a basics class at our clinic. This is exciting news, as the puppy class was so fun and educational. First class will be November 1, 2020 for anyone who wants to take part.
Now that Turkey day is done. Who's ready to get Spooky?
