Please note that the library book pick-up service will be on pause from December 17, 2020 to January 5, 2021. We are closing to allow our staff a chance to rest and reconnect with their families over the holidays. We'll be offering extended book pick-up hours mid December to allow people more time to pick up library books before we close. We will be open on , , , . It is our great pleasure to announce our newest project, "Sharing-Learning-Creating/Partager-Apprendre-Créer"! The Sharing-Learning-Creating/Partager-Apprendre-Créer project is a bilingual project that aims to promote Quebec culture and build bridges between the anglophone and francophone communities of Quebec. To this end, a series of activities were put together to offer a variety of bilingual presentations and workshops. Join us and register now!

Seven classes participated in The Tallest Tower S.T.E.M. Challenge organized by the Morrin Centre’s Education Coordinator this past Thursday and the students had a blast! This activity launches a series of online science and literacy events offered to teachers throughout the year. Invite your teacher friends to like the Morrin Centre’s Facebook page so they can be the first to know about the exciting activities that we offer to schools. Students can participate from home or a...t school depending on their individual situations. Teachers can also send an email to [email protected] to receive more information and invitations to our different online events. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Sept classes ont participé au Défi S.T.I.M. : la plus haute tour organisé par la coordonnatrice aux projets éducatifs du Morrin Centre jeudi dernier. Cette activité lance une série d'événements de littérature et de science en ligne proposés aux enseignant.e.s tout au long de l'année. Invitez vos ami.e.s enseignant.e.s à aimer la page Facebook du Morrin Centre pour être les premières personnes informées des activités à découvrir avec leurs élèves. Barry McCullough, our Executive Director, wrote an almost-25-word review of Jimmy McDonough's biography of Neil Young, "Shakey": "Thursday was Neil Young’s 75th birthday. "Shakey" covers the first 55-odd years of his life and is a must for anyone who is more than a casual fan."

With the holiday season just around the corner, McLaren has decided to surprise the staff with adorable paper stockings! Stay tuned as to what McLaren is going to do to spread the holiday cheer!

McLaren has been hard at work for a couple of weeks trying to help out with the research for a Covid-19 vaccine. He really wants to get back to his usual job of overseeing prisoners, but things aren't going great... that encyclopedia proves to be more insane than helpful!

Cette année aurait eu lieu la 12e édition du Festin Littéraire, notre levée de fonds annuelle. Malheureusement, cette soirée a été mise en péril par la pandémie qui nous assaille. L’équipe du Morrin Centre a décidé de ne pas baisser les bras dans l’espoir d’amasser des dons qui nous permettront de conserver ce joyau patrimonial et historique qu’est le Morrin Centre. La période difficile entourant la pandémie nous aura permis de constater que la chaleur humaine est un besoin e...ssentiel, et, sachant que le temps des fêtes sera très différent cette année, il est primordial de renouer avec vos êtres chers. Nous invitons notre communauté et ses amis à rester à l’affût du dévoilement de notre campagne de financement, MardiJeDonne : Le moment pour renouer. Juste à temps pour la période des fêtes, cette campagne sera axée sur le partage et l’importance de renouer avec nos êtres chers en cette période particulière.
