A Heartfelt THANK YOU to grade 8 teacher Dean Yeats and some of his students from OLGC who collected a very large amount of food for our pantry & helped load the food into our volunteer vans. More Beaver fun this week.
The White Tails from 1st Mount Albert Beaver Scouts came to visit the MA Food Pantry this week. The Beavers are on their Northern Light Quest. They were putting together a basket of food for a family that were forced from their home by a fire. Judy Good from the MAFP reminded them of their Motto, Sharing, Sharing, Sharing.

This is Liam Kekki, their family made a generous monetary donation to our Food Pantry. The Kekki's wanted Liam to experience, first hand, how it felt to help those in need, by sharing, "paying it forward" doing something for others & not expecting something in return. He did a great job of his presentation. Bruce then took Liam & his Dad to see the pantry & explain a little about how it works. The Kekki's, requested the charitable donation receipt be made out to Liam's Karate Club, Community Martial Arts of Mt. Albert; a further example of the family's generosity. Thank you LIAM!!!! :)

They have had a bad year losing Husband and Poppa but they are counting their blessings and hoping to help others in Mount Albert who are also having a bad year. Thank you both and may God bless you for thinking of your neighbours.
