Goodbye 2019, it’s been a blast! I’m looking for to 20/20 and to what God has in store for me and my family. Would I say I’ve accomplished everything I wanted to this year? No, but I am grateful for every single blessing and lesson learned. I feel like this year was all about growth for me, so here are a few things I’ve learned: 1. Patience: God’s timing is always better than your own, and even though you may want to be somewhere else right now, it’s better to enjoy the journ...ey and make the most out of your current season of life than stressing about what you don’t have in the moment. 2. It’s okay to take time out of your busy schedule to unwind, reflect and recharge, because let’s face you can’t run on 0% and it’s best to recharge before completely emptying the tank. 3. It’s okay to say no sometimes! This lesson has been the hardest for me and it’s not due to my FOMO ( okay maybe a little lol), but I always feel obligated to please or as I phrase it not disappoint others, but the more you do this is the more you’ll end up burnt out, and ultimately letting yourself down because your priorities are no longer in check. So go ahead and say no, if they love you they’ll understand. 4. People who care to be there, will be there. I’ve always been a wear your heart on your sleeve kinda girl. I love hard and therefore I hurt even harder when I don’t see the same level of care being reciprocated, but this year I’ve decided to love myself just a little bit more by not letting other people’s decisions affect me emotionally. If you don’t care enough to invest in our friendship, that’s okay! I will no longer overexert myself trying to mend or keep relationships that are one sided. God has blessed me with new and old friendships that are genuine and real, so what more could I want? 5. Be present in every moment! Don’t dwell on things that didn’t work out, or people that have hurt you. Learn what you can from your experience and then let it go. Choose to be happy, and even though it can be hard, love even more than you did the first time. All in all it’s been a good year, thank you to all the couples that have entrusted me to plan one of the biggest days of your lives
