NOTICE: MOUNT PEARL CLOSING ALL RECREATION FACILITIES FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEK Today, the City of Mount Pearl announced they will be closing all recrea...tion facilities for the remainder of the week, with an update on Friday, February 12. As a result, all City indoor and outdoor recreational programming and rentals are suspended until facilities reopen. Other City buildings, including City Hall and the H. Neil Windsor Municipal Building (Depot), will remain open. The City has made this decision out of an abundance of caution, to support Public Health in slowing the spread of COVID-19. The City’s first priority is to protect the health and wellness of residents, businesses and employees. They will continue to monitor the situation and follow all guidelines provided by Public Health. This is an uncertain time, and our role as a municipality is to follow the guidelines provided by Public Health and take all precautions necessary to slow the spread of this virus, said Mayor Dave Aker. We are a small community and we recognize the interconnectedness of our City and we need to play our part in protecting everyone’s safety.

Effective 5:30pm today, Monday, December 21st, all programs and services related to the Summit Centre Pool (both the Main Pool and Leisure Pool) as well as the Fitness Centre (including the Weight Room) are re-opened as per regularly scheduled times. FITNESS CENTRE UPDATE! Effective, Wednesday, November 25th, members will no longer have to pre-book time slots for access to the Summit Centre Fitness Centre. Fitness Centre access will be open on a drop-in basis only. When the maximum numbers of members are inside, a red pylon will be placed at the main entrance of the Summit Centre to indicate full capacity.... We are excited to announce that there will also be an expansion in the hours of operation, with two closures daily to allow for disinfection. The revised schedule is below.
