I had not seen herons around for a few days so I thought maybe they had left for warmer climes which made me sad because when they go, the cold and snow is not ...far off. But then I came across a bunch in Tracadie harbour and some more in other areas so it seems the winter has been told stay away for at least a while longer. See more

Blue lobster we caught today. Chances are 1 in 200 million. We gave it a kiss and released it back into the ocean.
