One of the many worthwhile gospel efforts we are partnered with is: Pastor Training with The Grace Project in Zambia... Did you know there is an estimated 85% to 90% of pastors globally who cannot access a good Bible school education? About 65% of the Zambian students are lead pastors who receive a lead pastor's scholarship of K3000 ($200 CND) so their education only costs them K1000 ($67 CND) which includes a study Bible and course books for our double diploma Grace-Based Practical Theology program. With more sponsors, we can expand our outreach to more lead pastors to ensure they are equipped and trained according to the word. Please check out our website, link in bio, for more information! Around this time last year, a Team was able to serve in Palma Soriano! This team worked closely with women in the community, made some memorable house visits and was able to visit the preschool that is being built! We pray that we are able to start sending out teams again by 2022. As the Team shared, "Thank you to everyone who has supported our mission work in Cuba. All the prayers, donations and gifts are greatly appreciated. Coming alongside MVC’s Missionary Reps, Sandra ...and Jorge, again was very special. Seminars were delivered to approximately 200 women at four different churches. Each woman received a hot lunch, full day of seminars and a gift package. The seminars included the topics of menopause, depression and anxiety, nutrition and wrapped up with a Bible study/ sermon about the Samaritan woman at the well. We taught deep breathing, stretching and art therapy in the form of colouring. The women loved the day and we were thanked with many kisses and hugs. We also visited seven families in their homes. These visits were very special to the families and to the team. Sandra has such a beautiful, generous heart. It was an honour to do visits with her. We also visited the preschool where more funds are needed for more cement for the building. Through it all, it is impossible to overstate the love and compassion that flowed among us the entire week. About 2 weeks ago, we sent out a video explaining the need that is left, emphasizing our hopes to raise $120,000 CAD before the end of the year. Happy Birthday | Feliz Complianos Jorge! Jorge & Sandra have been working with us for the last 15 years in Palma Soriano, serving and growing God's kingdom there! Throughout the years, they have focused on children’s ministry and supporting Pastors, providing love & hope where it is most needed! Jorge's passion to serve is evident, especially during this pandemic as him and Sandra went around the community to give food and essential needs to families with seniors and children. The beginning of November was incredibly difficult for the people of the Philippines. On November 14, Typhoon Vamco struck right after a previous typhoon had already hit. The typhoons have caused loss of life, injuries and destroyed homes and businesses across the country. One of the areas that has been drastically impacted is the island of Luzon. The town of Morong, Rizal is about 60 minutes from Manila (the capital of the Philippines). MVC’s Director, Brad Wilson, had prev...iously lived and worked in Morong, Rizal for 2 years. He had started a church there and continues to have a relationship with the people of Morong. This past week, one of Brad’s closest friends from Morong, Pastor Ruben, contacted him directly to asked for help as this typhoon has left many devastated. Strong winds and torrential rains caused many homes to be flooded, sweeping away several others in the area. Pastor Ruben emphasized the need for help to feed and shelter the victims of this town. All funds raised through our ‘Philippines Typhoon Relief Fund’ will be used to purchase food, essentials, and materials to rebuild homes that were destroyed by the typhoon. Pastor Ruben’s goal is to provide not only food & necessities to those in the town but also, rebuild 3 homes that were destroyed. To rebuild one home in Morong costs about $1,000 CAD and therefore, we need your help.
