Happy Canada Day! We hope you are all safely celebrating. On this day we take the time to celebrate this country and the incredible opportunities it has given us while also acknowledging its history and the centuries-long oppression of indigenous people. Here are some documentaries we are going to be checking out to educate ourselves and we encourage you to do the same while celebrating 153 years!

We have adjusted our setting to accommodate more physical distancing , we implemented plexiglass at reception to protect our staff and patients, high traffic areas are wipes frequently, as always , all surfaces in the office wiped and sprayed with medical grade wipes. Lets talk lemonade! While it can be a super refreshing on a hot summer day, it has some really unfortunate effects on your dental health. The acidity and sugar actually melts your enamel, yikes! Now Im not telling you to completely give up lemonade, Im not Not at all! Just make sure to brush your teeth afterwards, your teeth will thank you! Tip Tuesday! Did you know that eating an excess of refined carbs and sugar not only induces cavities but also increases the inflammation process in the body in general, including your gum? This is a large part of gum disease, in addition to plaque accumulation. This doesnt mean you need to completely quit sugar, just remember to enjoy sweets in moderation to benefit your dental health, as well as your overall health!
