For all kinds of reasons, it really is best if pets aren't in the home during showings. 2) Eliminate smells and stains. You can even go the extra mile and steam clean carpets, it is always worth the extra effort.... 3) Remove signs of your pet by hiding litter boxes, food dishes and putting toys neatly away. An uncluttered home always shows better! 4) Fix any damage done by pets (big or small.) A few paint touchups go a long way! 5) This one is last, but definitely not least...freshen up your yard! As many of you know, I love spending time in the kitchen! A good recipe never hurt anyone so I am going to be sharing some of my recipe ideas every Monday! Here is my recipe for Cinnamon Shortbread Star cookies: 250g margarine ... 1 cup sugar 2 cups plain flour 1/2 cup white rice flour 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon Cinnamon sugar, to sprinkle Preheat oven to 160C. Line 2 baking trays with parchment paper. Use an electric mixer to beat the margarine and sugar in a bowl until pale and creamy. Add the combined flour and ground cinnamon. Bring dough together in the bowl. Cover and place in the fridge for 30 mins to rest. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to a 3mm-thick. Use a 5cm star-shaped cutter to cut stars (or any desired shape) from the dough. Place cookies on the lined trays. Lightly sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Bake for 12-15 mins or until light golden. Set aside on the trays to cool completely.
