On August 7th & 8th, 2020, Napoli’s Westboro will be donating $5 from every order to the @lebaneseredcross. We have noticed the incredible gestures by @gabrielpizzadelivery, @shawarmapalaceottawa, @aeverestlocksmith and decided to follow suit. LONG READ: Five brothers and their sister, led by the courage and ambition of their parents, fled a country in the midst of a horrific ongoing civil war in the 1970s. They left their country of birth to provide their children a better l...ife and a prosperous future. 45 years later, Lebanon is in the middle of a dreadful economic and banking crisis, a collapsing political system, power/electrical cuts and poverty. On Tuesday, Beirut’s port, which controls the country’s importing and exporting of goods, exploded and resulted in hundreds of deaths, shattered homes and countless injuries. It is incredibly difficult to express our sorrow during these times. We still have hundreds of family members in Lebanon and the whole country needs our support. With all of the devastating news regarding our birthplace, we will be taking action and donating to the Lebanese Red Cross. The LRC have been at the forefront during this travesty by placing temporary shelters, providing food and hygiene kits. This was a no-brainer. Truth be told, it has been difficult. However, we have a formidable support system. Uncles, aunts and cousins have all helped and given us a hand. We also discussed how we’ve shifted from being a dine-in + takeout restaurant to exclusively a takeout restaurant....
