Top 5 at 7; May 6, 2021; The Final Countdown

The Board of General Superintendents is calling the global Church of the Nazarene to a week of prayer and fasting beginning on Monday, 11 January. When the church joins in prayer and acts in unanimity with Jesus’ vision, we are assured that God will do what we cannot. Please, join us each day next week as we focus on the need for spiritual renewal within the Church and for healing the great divides in our world. Tuesday, January 12 Pray for peace and opportunities to show C...hrist’s love to others. Wednesday, January 13 Pray for the persecuted church around the world and for our missionaries. Thursday, January 14 Pray for those who are suffering as a result of the global pandemic. Friday, January 15 Pray for unity among God’s people and for healing across the nations. Saturday, January 16 Pray for those who have yet to come to faith in Jesus Christ. Sunday, January 17 Pray for the Holy Spirit to fill us again so that we may be empowered to be Christlike in this world. See more

COVID 19 has been hard on many families, with the loss of employment it can make any time of the year challenging , but for sure at Christmas time. We will be doing Christmas hampers for families who need a little extra help. We are inviting you to be a part of this wonderful opportunity to share with others. Please Note , please don't put yourself at risk by making extra shopping trips to the store . However, you get your supplies , whether online, curbside or in store, just add a few things to your list. There will be a tree in the entry way , please put your non-perishables items under there before Dec 20 . If you wish to give money please place it in the offering and mark Christmas Hampers. This will help us buy turkeys and fixings for our families. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus to our community.

40 Days of Thanksgiving - Reflection Questions - Day 15 1 Consider the manner in which you invest your financial resources. Are you investing in things? Or are you investing in people? Think of a way that you can bless someone this week. Before you act on this, consider what the person places value in, not what you place value in. 2 How are you investing your life. Are you centered on yourself? On your immediate family? Or is your focus on the Kingdom of God? We a...ll have resources of time, money, and gifts and talents. Are we experiencing the joy of offering ourselves sacrificially for God’s Kingdom? Is there an area of your life where you could be offering more to the Lord? 3 There is nothing wrong with having nice things. As long as they don’t become our focus. Jesus never demonized money, but he did say that ‘love of money is a root of evil. So give the Lord thanks for good things that you are surrounded with. Thank him for nice things. 4- If you have a roof over your head, clothes on your back, and food in the pantry, thank him for his provision of your daily needs. If these resources seem to be in limited supply, ask the Lord to provide. Even ask him to move you into a season of abundance so that you can help meet the needs of others. 5 This week, look for a need in someone’s life, and make the sacrifice needed (time, money, service) to meet the need. Give God glory for giving you provision to be used in this service to another person or persons. 6 - Continue with your daily Thanksgiving Offering. Look for the Lord in all things. And ask for His provision as you endeavor to provide for the needs of others. And be thankful.
