Went out fishing with Aaron's dad & brother. Fishing was a little slower than we have been used to for the last couple of weeks. Gary (Aaron's dad) lost a couple of nice salmon and Johnny (Aaron's brother) lost a nice halibut at the side of the boat...but we still brought in 7 salmon and eventually got 3 halibut. The 3rd halibut was worth the weight...I mean wait. lol It measured 125 cm (a little over 49")...our scale only goes to 50lb...I guess I better buy a new weigh scale for the boat.

Aaron & Josh took a client out this morning...he just wanted salmon so they didn't go hali fishing (halibut). They trolled big spoons and plugs for the first time this year...client wanted a couple of slabs (big salmon). Spoons worked and they landed a couple of nice ones (24lb & 21 lb). I won't talk about the ones they lost...I will just be branded as a typical fisherman with "the one that got away" stories. lol Anyhow, it looks like the big ones are starting to show up...should be awesome tyee (30lb & larger)fishing coming up.
