Believe it or not, kindergarten enrollment is happening next week for children who will turn five by December 31, 2021 and who start school in September 2021. If you're wondering what school you are zoned for, or where your child's bus stop will be? You can enter you address and it'll give you those details along with pick up and drop off times. https://asdsbp.nbed.nb.ca/TransportationEligibility There are a few things you need to bring with you: ... - Your child's birth certificate - Immunization records - Medicare Card. You'll also receive an appointment to do the EYE - DA test, which isn't an eye test like I originally thought it stands for The Early Years Developmental Assessment (EYE-DA) Explained here: https://thelearningbar.com/early-years-evaluation-kinderga/ It's not as confusing as it sounds, the schools have a great process in place to get the little ones ready for kindergarten. October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss awareness month. All over the world people will gather on October 15th at 7pm to light candles for the baby's who gained their wings too soon. It is also to bring awareness to the conversation of loss, which 1 in 4 women will experience at least once in their life. This is a time to show mothers and fathers that they are not alone in their grief. While there is no set location for Saint John, however, if you are looking for in person support I recommend you reach out to your local Pregnancy Resource Centre. The Pregnancy Resource Center of Saint John, Pregnancy & Wellness Centre of Moncton.

We are so lucky in this province and I'm thankful our kids have had the opportunity able to return to school. Teachers are doing an amazing job this year balancing the education requirements, and extra challenges Covid brought on, while still having a fun, safe learning environment for our children. My children are thankful and so am I.... Happy World Teacher Day, we appreciate you every single day! THANK YOU TEACHERS!,

Those planning to participate in Halloween activities should keep cleanliness in mind. Trick-or-treaters should wash their hands before heading out and upon returning home. Full News Release: https://www2.gnb.ca//en/news/news_release.2020.10.0501.html
