Here is the plain language text for the better understanding for the individuals who are non-Canadians or permanent residents of Canada following "Order in Council" issued today. This is NOT a legal advise and only done for the knowledge and convenience of all concerned. Land Borders Currently at Land borders..., US Citizens, green card holders or those that have a Visa in hand can be denied entry if considered to be Non-essential travel. US citizens can also be barred from entry if they have been in a recent hot spot in the past 14 days or if they show symptoms upon arrival. This measure does not include or apply to Canadian Citizens and or permanent residents and or First Nations, including family members. I refer to the Immigration Refugee Protection Act’s definition of family member, see regulation R1(3). All travellers would be required to self-isolate if allowed entry into the country.Travel for the purpose of obtaining immigration services is non-essential. Air Carriers - To confirm, a travel ban has been implemented through an order under the Aeronautics Act which requires air carriers operating flights to Canada to deny boarding to any passenger who is not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident (or an immediate family member). The measure came into force on Wednesday, March 18, at 12:00 p.m. (noon) EDT, and applies to travelers arriving by air. For clarity, what this means is that international students and workers who are outside of Canada and the United States will not be permitted to board an aircraft to return to Canada, unless they are the spouse, common-law partner or dependent child of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

Thanks to Ottawa Police Service - Service de police d'Ottawa for alerting the general public few months ago about the few individuals posing as few Utiliites employees and randomly knocking at the doors of few neighborhoods and insisting on inspecting the units installed in the property possibly with some ulterior motives. One such individual purporting to be the employee of one such Utility was at our property yesterday and my family member refused to allow him any access ...and advised him to show up later once I return from work in an hour or so. As expected, this guy never returned. I am sharing this hands on experience with a request to be cautious and that such incidents are real. There's only a 2 week window from January 28-February 11th to submit applications, Here's what the Investor needs: 1. Have an English Language level of CLB 5;... 2. Have a net worth of a). $10 Million if you have a Canadian Educational Credential (or foreign equivalent) of 1 year Post Secondary or more, OR B). $50 Million if you don't have this Educational Credential; 3. Agree to give $2 Million to the Business Development Bank of Canada (no details on term, profit sharing or ?? Other than there are no guarantees); 4. They will accept up to 500 applications between January 28 and February 11, then do a random draw for 60 of these. How one would get their Education Credentials and English Language tests done before Feb 11 is beyond me! 5.
