NL911 is a part of the provincial emergency response system, connecting callers to their local responders. We are pleased to highlight the dedicated Firefighte...rs and staff with the St. John’s Regional Fire Department! The SJRFD has been serving their area for 125 years with their Firefighters having almost 3,000 years of collective experience! When asked what they enjoy most about the job, one firefighter explained, One of the things I enjoy is the satisfaction of helping others in the community and to know as a firefighter we are there to give them that help and try to lessen the stress they may have when it comes to some emergency situation that they may face. SJRFD supports their community by partnering with A Dollar A Day for the Fighting Chance Program, assisting emergency responders who face mental health challenges, PTSD and addictions. We want to say thank you to all 200 SJRFD Firefighters and 35 staff for your dedication! Congratulations on your 125th Anniversary!!
