With Christmas just around the corner, it is time to consider the less fortunate. The Cheer Board will gladly accept any financial donations (cheques to be made out to Treherne Chamber of Commerce). For anyone requiring a Christmas Hamper, please request an application from Audrey Hutlet (204-723-2118) or the Public Health Nurse - Nicky Vigar (204-723-3404). All applications must be returned by December 10, 2020 for planning purposes. Donations can be mailed to PO Box 105,Treherne R0G 2V0 or dropped off at 224 Griffin Street.

Lavenham Water Main Flushing - Water main flushing is planned for Wednesday October 14th, 2020 between the hours of 1:30pm 3:30pm. Box 30 Treherne, MB R0G 2V0 Re: BOIL WATER ADVISORY IS ISSUED FOR THE RATHWELL PUBLIC WATER SYSTEM Drinking Water Officer, Nancy Fitzgerald has advised me that the Rathwell water system has met all conditions for rescinding the boil water advisory and that bacteriological testing results meet regulatory standards. I am therefore rescinding the boil water advisory that was placed on the Rathwell water system on August 5, 2020. Please ensure all water users are notified that the advisory has been rescinded and that normal water usage can be resumed. A copy of this letter can be provided as notification. Notices posted in public locations are to be removed. Should you have any questions, please contact Nancy Fitzgerald Regional Drinking Water Officer at 204-724-0685. RATHWELL WATERPLANT REPAIR Tuesday, September 22nd, 2020 Starting at 9:00 a.m. until approximately 5:00 p.m ALL WATER WILL BE SHUT OFF in Rathwell to allow the contractor to core a hole between the two reservoirs and install a valve.... Residents and businesses should: Shut off the hot water tank breaker Turn water valve off (usually located by the water meter) Store water for drinking & washroom use to be self-sufficient for 72 hours Updates will be e-mailed out and left under Notices on the website, should there be a problem. Rathwell Water Repair - 4:00p.m. - update The repair was made, lines pressurized and water turned on to discover another leak further down the line at Green Prairie Lodge. Water has been turned off and further digging required to locate. Work crews still onsite and hoping to have water restored by supper time. Further updates to follow.

Rathwell Utility Repair - 1:00 p.m. update The new line has been installed in the waterplant and the reservoir is in the process of being filled so that water can be turned on and lines pressurized, unfortunately the curbstop repair has not gone so well at the lodge and a vac truck needed to be called in. It has just arrived onsite and once it clears the work area to allow the repair to happen, water will be turned back on. Sorry for the delay!
