DFRNT & Painted Dance Collective present... The Instagram At-Home Combo Challenge! Every 3 days, starting Tuesday March 17, a new combo tutorial video will be r...eleased on IGTV & YouTube and/or Vimeo. There will be 7 tutorials total - each led by a DFRNT or Painted team member. All combos will be under one minute in length. Dancers from all over are invited to learn some dance moves in the safety of their own home and submit their video interpretation of the combo. Feel free to get creative! After the final tutorial deadline, dancers age 11+ who posted all combos in time will enter a draw! Prizes include a DFRNT scholarship & Painted class pass! RULES TO ENTER: - Video must be uploaded to IG - Each video submission must be 1 min or less - One video must be submitted for all 7 combos by each stated deadline - Must be following @dfrntdance @painteddanceco & all choreographers in the challenge - Hashtag #DFRNTxPAINTED in the caption of your submission - Tag @dfrntdance, @painteddanceco, the choreographer of the combo in your video - Tag a friend youd like to challenge in the comment section of your submissions! Keep in mind you also have the option of learning the combos just for fun! There is no pressure to enter the competition, therefore dancers of any age may participate. Even if you choose to do one or two - please share. In a time where being in studio is off limits, we still want us all dancing together. I want people to start sharing more about... how to stay healthy, positive, active, and alive during this isolating and hard time. Heads up dance teachers. I received an email from a man who said that he wanted to hire a dance teacher to choreograph a dance routine at his sons wedding. Soun...ds reasonable enough. So Ive been texting him for the last week or so. He asks decent questions. Then he tells me he wants 5 weeks of rehearsals two rehearsals a week for 10 Bridesmaids? Im thinking these girls must not be very coordinated to need all this rehearsal but ok. He sends me a song, its slow which is odd but ok. Then he tells me the wedding is at such and such address in Sydney. I dont know where that is so I google it- its a house that is listed for sale hmmmmm..... Im getting suspicious then he asks me to do a favour for him. Get this! He wants me to pay for the bus that will transport the girls back and fourth to the studio and then he will reimburse me for this and the choreography fee! Totalling over $2000!
