Hey everyone! Our swims have been really busy lately so we would just like to remind that we are only allowed 50 patrons per swim under Covid-19 guidelines! Come early for our public swims to get your spot! Thank you ! We appreciate all of the support and hope everyone has a fun swim!

Earlier this week the government of Nova Scotia announced the extension of the Christmas break for students to help stop the spread of Covid 19. In keeping with this decision the pool will do its part and remain closed from DECEMBER 18th, 2020 and REOPEN on MONDAY JANUARY 11th, 2021. *Please note this will delay the start of swimming lessons by 1 week. We would like to take this opportunity to wish our patrons and staff a Very Merry Christmas and all of the best in the New Year . Stay safe friends

Earlier this week, the government of Nova Scotia cautioned strongly against non-essential travel within the province. Out of an abundance of caution, and since mask wearing and physical distancing are not possible in the pool itself, we ask that anyone who has traveled to the central zone (including the Halifax area) please refrain from entering the Northside Community Pool for a period of 14 days. If we all do our part, we can help prevent the spread of this virus. Stay safe everyone!!

Swimming Lessons Update Today, December 9th will be the last day of swimming lessons for 2020. We will start back the week of January 4th for week 6!! Happy Holidays!!

Today, December 18th 2020, is our last day open before Christmas break! We will be re-opening January 11th 2021. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!

Just a friendly reminder that the pool will be closed tomorrow, November 11. We will open again on Thursday.

They will start the Week of November 2nd & start back up the week of January 6th. Class sizes will also be smaller. If you did register for spring 2020 lessons back in March and did not request a refund you will be hearing from us before this Sunday to confirm your day & time you paid fo...r. We may have to find a different day or time due to our new schedule. Registration will run a little differently this session due to Covid19. Someone will meet you at the door to take your name & phone number. You will be given a form to be filled out while you wait in your vehicle and we will call you when it's your turn to come in to register. please bring your own pen. We can't wait to see you all!!

We just wanted to send out an update for those inquiring about an opening date. We are currently in the process of preparing the facility to ensure we are able to allow for the appropriate physical distancing protocols as well as updating our schedule. While things are coming along well, we need a little more time yet to ensure we are able to continue to the provide the high-quality programming you have all come to expect. Please stay tuned as we will be announcing an opening date in the coming weeks and we are very much looking forward to seeing everyone again!!

Update: April 19th In accordance with Public Health protocols, the Northside Community Pool will remain closed indefinitely. As a result, our spring session of swimming lessons will not proceed. For those who have already registered and paid for lessons, two options will be available: 1. Use the payment as a credit toward future swimming lessons. 2. Full refund.... Refunds will also be available for any pool rentals (such as birthday parties) and day camps. To request a refund, please send an email to [email protected] with the following information: Contact name and phone number. Service being refunded (lessons, pool rental, day camps, etc.) Child’s name. We will begin processing refunds starting Monday, April 20th. Refund cheques will be mailed in the coming weeks. In addition, expiry dates on swim cards have been extended. Please note the facility remains closed to allow for appropriate physical distancing. We ask for your continued patience during these extraordinary times and we very much look forward to seeing you all again once this public health crisis ends. Effective at the end of business on March 15th, 2020, the Northside Community Pool will be suspending all programing for a period of 30 days as a precautionary measure following the direction of the CBRM. This is a decision we do not take lightly and it will certainly leave many of our patrons disappointed, but a decision that has been made out of an abundance of caution with the recent announcement of cases in Nova Scotia. March Break day camps will no longer run as a result and full refunds will be available, starting March 16th, for those who have registered. We will update the status of re-opening as well as the spring session of lessons over the next few weeks as more information becomes available. Thank You

CBRM FREE SWIM CBRM will be putting on a free swim Sunday, March 15 3:30 - 4:30pm, come for a swim!

LESSONS UPDATE: Next week will be the last week of winter lessons for Monday, Tuesday and Saturday Classes Only!!(March 9th, 10th & 14th). The Last Day for Wednesday Classes will be March 25th and Friday classes will be March 27th. Spring Lesson Registration: Everyone currently in lessons for the winter session will be able to register on the last day of their lesson for the spring session if they want to stay on the same day they have now. If you want to change days you must wait until 12PM on the Saturday, March 28th. Spring Lesson Registration will open to the public March 29th at 10AM.
