Kids are listening. Speaking positively about YOUR body helps your children form positive inner narrative about THEIR bodies. Focus on function over appearance. What incredible things can your body DO? Find opportunities to highlight the amazing things your body can do: how strong your legs are, how your soft belly grew a whole human, how your skin has the miraculous ability to heal wounds. ... Highlight and normalize natural diversity in body shapes and sizes in people, animals, in nature. My daughter noticed a larger body on one of her cartoons, instead of glossing over it, I reinforced that body's come in all shapes. Some big, some small. Then reminded her what is most important isn't our body at all but our kind hearts. It doesn't need to be complex but changing the dialogue starts with us Double tap if you are all in for this and share in your stories if you want to spread the word!

Want to know a little secret? Lean in close... Holiday weight gain isn't a "thing". It is OVER EXAGGERATED to make you feel like sh*t so you buy weight loss plans, gym memberships, laxative teas, and whatever else in January. Research estimates the average person gains UNDER 1 pound over the holidays. Most of the "weight gain" you may notice when you step on the scale (**also highly recommend avoiding) is additional salt and fluid retention. So please take my advice and....... DoNotBuyIntoTheBS Eat the food. Enjoy the special treats. Move your body a bit. Drink some water. The end.

We ALL need a fast grab and go snack for our kids. But the granola bar aisle is daunting! Add the "nut-free" zone at schools and it makes it even harder to choose. In general, when I pick a granola bar for my kids I want it to have at least 2 grams of fibre and 2 grams of protein to help slow the digestion and prevent little people from complaining they're hungry 5 minutes later. Here are my favorite 8 kids granola bars that are delicious and healthy! Don't forget to SAVE T...HIS POST for your next shop so you know exactly which ones to try out. Have you tried any of these bars? What was the feedback from your kids? Or who am I missing on here? Comment below.

Food is celebration. Food is pleasure. Food is tradition. I know I'm not missing anything this holiday season, all the sweets, treats, festive foods, and holiday beverages. But I also know my gut is not going to love me for it [#sponsored]. So this year, I am giving my gut a gift this season! The gift of probiotics! There is some very good research that probiotics can help with a ton of different GI conditions, so instead of suffering though it (or even worse MISSING out of s...ome of those amazing foods). Treat yo'self to @kindredcultures kefir water. Just make sure to hide it from your kids or you won't get any afterall! What favourite treats are you celebrating this year with? Comment below!
