Hi Everyone :) We want swim lessons to be as inclusive as possible in Nova Scotia. In partnership with parasport, we are conducting 3 (short & sweet) surveys ...to help better understand where the needs lie and the steps we can take to make it better. We have a survey for swim instructors, managers/supervisors and community members. We really want representation from all across Nova Scotia. We would greatly appreciate it if you could complete our survey or share our survey. Thank you so very much for your support!! Off shore winds blow away from the land and can start without warning; much like the rest of our weather. Inflatables make for tons of fun and cute pictures but can quickly turn to tragedy in open water. Keep them in the pool, under the supervision of a guardian.

Every year many drownings occur while engaged in aquatic activities - where people intended on being in the water, but something went wrong. 20% of people drowned unexpectedly and 2/3 occur in open water. #NDPW2020

Lifejackets don’t work if you don’t wear them. Not wearing a Lifejacket or PFD was a factor in most boating deaths. #NDPW2020 #drowningispreventable
