Nova Scotians can provide input on the Municipal Government Act as part of a review announced by Municipal Affairs Minister Zach Churchill. The Department of Municipal Affairs is working with the Union of Nova Scotia Municipalities and the Association of Municipal Administrators to carry out the review over the next three years. http://novascotia.ca/news/release/?id=20150930004

Doug Keefe, a former provincial deputy minister and Alphonse MacNeil, a former RCMP commanding officer, have been appointed to lead the review on fuel supply management in the province. Government announced the review after the recent gas shortage.
Minister Churchill met with the councils of the Town of Shelburne and the municipalities of Shelburne, Barrington and Arygle Tuesday. This is the beginning of his municipal tour of all 51 municipal units to discuss municipal and provincial priorities.
