BORN TO MOVE Have you been gifting your body with regular movement, exercise and/ or training? In this world of so many distractions, high tech this and that, drive here and there, work work work mentality, many people have lost touch with regular exercise and say ' I have no time', I must take care of this and this first, I can't stand exercise or sweating.... Truly we all HAVE time. It's all based on priority. No matter how much work we have, how many kids we have, no time is never an excuse. So why have we moved away from what we were BORN to do? We were TRULY BORN TO RUN. Our bodies are designed to run. Considering way back that is how we got our food etc., if we don't exercise and move, the body starts to die - we are holding back its very nature. Yes, I know times have changed and with our new gadgets that never end our time is consumed, whereas earlier we threw a baseball around on the street and ran around like crazy. Yes, many of us do remain active but the majority unfortunately do not. It starts with YOU, one person, to put regular daily exercise in your life - which will add more than you can imagine to your life - and you get to choose what you do. It has to increase your heart rate, create some sweat, use the whole body. YOU may just inspire another or a whole group to do it. This is not just to be healthy and live longer. This changes who we are to our families, how we are as a mother or father, our stress levels reduce, and we are so much more productive at work. All these rewards and it doesn't take much. I this is you, if you are someone who moves away from this, I challenge you to reward yourself for 30 days and evaluate what has changed for you. Hike, run, yoga, cycle, power walk, machine or class of choice ( I really recommend outside when you can). Anything! So start today. Commit yourself to 30 days - a minimum of 20 minutes a day - if course can be more. Record what you do. Perhaps choose a physical challenge that will keep you committed beyond 30 days, like a 10 km run or a mountain climb on a trip. Drink lots of water.
