BEEF SIDES FOR SALE!! We have some openings for available beef sides for our finals. Finals will be taking place December 14th - 17th. Sides sell for $4.10/lb cut, and wrap. Please call our store at 403 556 8283 to place your order. Spots are limited, so do not hesitate to call.

Fresh chicken is stocked in the shop! Our students were busy learning everything about chickens today, so there is plenty available. And don't forget that we are again open on Saturdays.

NEW PRODUCT We have another convenient meal option available, "Pulled Beef"! This product is fully cooked, and just needs to be heated to serve. Seasoned when cooked, all you need to do is add your favorite BBQ sauce. Stop by this week to pick some up for a quick meal option.

***SATURDAY ANNOUNCEMENT*** The Olds College Retail Meat Shop will again be open SATURDAYS!!! Starting this Saturday October 24th, our doors will be open, and our counters will be full. Regular Store Hours; Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 5 pm Saturday, 10 am - 4 pm... We can not thank all of you enough for the continued support of what we do. Closing Saturdays was essential for our successful reopening of both the store, and our program, and we are extremely grateful for everyone's patience during this time.

Forget turkey.... Beef is what's for Thanksgiving Dinner this year. Stop by this week to pick up one of our beautiful Bone In Rolled Prime Rib, or Tenderloin Roasts. Lots are in stock, but we can not guarantee they will be here all week. Our Thanksgiving hours are as follows; Friday October 9th, 11am - 5pm Sat, Sun, Mon, - CLOSED Tuesday October 13th, 12pm - 5pm... **Attention Customers** We are very excited to re-open our Retail Meat Shop to you, and have been overwhelmed by the understanding and support that you have shown us over these past months. With this reopening taking place next week, we ask that you review the message below as protocols have been put in place to ensure the health and safety of our students, staff, and customers. 1. Masks - Non-medical or fabric masks that cover the mouth and nose are required to be worn i...n all indoor public areas on the campus such as hallways, washrooms, and common areas. Visitors to the campus are also required to wear masks in indoor public spaces. Customers must wear their mask upon entering the building of Animal Sciences. 2. Customer Capacity - The Retail Meat Shop will limit customers to 5 in the store at one time. During busy times, we ask that a line be made outside of the store in the hallway. Signage has been posted showing where the line is to take place. We are also asking that only 1 member from a household is to shop, as we are pressed with our space, and the 5 person limit. 3. Hand Sanitizing - There are sanitation stations located in the hallway, and entry of the Retail Meat Shop. It is encouraged that customers quickly sanitize their hands before shopping. 4. Social Distancing - Please practice social distancing in the store, and in the hallway/store line. It is also encouraged that the hallways (aside from the store line) are to be kept as clear of foot traffic as possible. Once shopping is complete, to please exit the building of Animal Science. 5. Store Hour Change - The Retail Meat Shop will be open Monday to Friday - 12 pm - 5 pm. We will now be closed Saturday and Sunday. We understand that these new protocols may not be ideal for everyone, but cooperation with us is essential for the success of this re-open. Not only are we a retail meat shop, but we are a school first. The health and safety of everyone involved (students, customers, and staff) is top priority to us. With our classes in meat processing resuming the same day, we will have our doors open at NOON. We will be stocked and ready for our last day tomorrow. We still have a good amount of fresh beef available, and lots of bulk boxes of sausages, as well as boneless skinless turkey breast. We will be processing for the next 3 days (March 18th 19th and 20th) and will continue to have a large selection of fresh meat available. We will also be making bulk boxes of breakfast sausage tomorrow, which will be available while supplies last. We will have plenty of beef products available for the next 3 days, but do anticipate some shortages on certain products.
