The beach of Oka National Park temporarily closed. Quebecers who hoped to take advantage of the heat wave announced to cool off at the beach of Oka National Park, on the North Shore of Montreal, will likely have to find a plan B for the next few days. Indeed, the Ministry of the Environment has decided to proceed with the closure of the beach, in collaboration with the municipality of Oka.... "The beach was closed following a situation declared by the municipality of Oka in connection with the temporary malfunction of the municipal sewer system," said the ministry. The beach will remain closed until corrective measures have been taken to the sewer system.
