Happy New Year everyone. I think Col. Sherman Potter said it best on MASH: https://youtu.be/Q5GkMdx4OlM

Take up the quarrel with the foe: to you from failing hands we throw the torch. Be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die, we shall not sleep, though poppies grow in Flanders Fields.

Fall seems to be upon us and the weather was perfect for two events this past weekend. Congratulations to everyone at the TG7 Run in London for a great event on Saturday! Plus, what a great day with the Humane Society of Middlesex London yesterday at Bark'n'Splash! You just have to smile when you see all of those puppies having such a good time!
In the next couple weeks, many people across Canada will be heading back to school. During this time, it is extremely important for everyone to do their part to minimize the severity of an impending second wave. Please check out this infographic from the health professionals in our community and also remember to: - Wear a face covering - Stay 2 meters apart from other people - Wash your hands - Frequently disinfect your phone, wallet, keys etc ... - Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth Stay safe and healthy everyone!
It was movie day at ONSite! Stephani and Trevor will be appearing in a locally-produced full-length movie. Today was the recording of their scene. We'll keep you posted on how the production continues. As you can see, it was action-packed!
It is our pleasure to be a part of the upcoming TG7 Run for Mental Health on Sept. 12th. Please take a minute to learn more about it at tg7run.com. Everyone is, in some way, affected my mental illness. Any way we can support others is time well spent.
Here’s some pictures of the filming for a new section on our website! Keep an eye out for the release of our online learning page - lots of educational videos and content for our community is coming soon! @ London, Ontario
There seems to be a glimmer of light on the horizon! Live music is back - at least in the Brockville area. If you're looking for a great music fix, head to The Acoustic Country Music Weekend and enjoy Abby Stewart's performance! https://www.facebook.com/events/264446028122060/
We're heading back again to The St. Thomas Dragway again on Saturday! We're looking forward to another day at the track. http://www.stthomasdragway.ca/
Wear a mask, people. We know there is going to be a second wave coming, so why are we not all doing everything we can to mitigate the risk? To folks who believe that it impinges on their rights -- the government mandates us to do many, many things - have a smoke detector in your house, drive the right way on a one-way street, stop at red lights, heck... even wear pants in public! Why are we so upset with wearing a mask?!? https://www.healthunit.com/face-masks
Did you know tornadoes are most common in Ontario during the summer months? Here’s some tips to help you stay safe! You should always try to keep an eye on local weather forecasts to ensure you are aware if a tornado is coming your way. Make sure your family has an emergency plan in place. This should include a designated safe space on the lowest level of a building. Stay away from windows, outer walls and doors. If you are in a large apartment building or condo and cannot make it to a basement, an inner hallway will also work. After the tornado, be very careful exiting your safe space if you believe damage could have occurred to your building. Stay safe everyone!
Did you know that thunderstorms can take as little as an hour to form? Here are some tips to help you stay safe! When you see the signs of a storm coming, immediately seek shelter. If you are indoors during a severe storm, avoid using any electrical devices, avoid taking a shower or bath, and stay away from the windows and doors. If you are stuck outdoors, stay away from open fields and bodies of water. And finally, if you are in your car, find a safe place to pull over and stay inside the vehicle. If someone is struck by lightning, be sure to call EMS (911) as soon as possible! Stay safe everyone, be sure to have an emergency plan in place and regularly check in with local weather reports!
It’s going to get HOT in parts of Ontario! It is especially important during this time of the year to keep checking in with yourself. If you are experiencing muscle cramps, headaches, nausea, dizziness, weakness, or skin that is redder or paler than usual; it could be a heat-related emergency. In this case, you should move to the shade or a cooler location, drink water in sips, loosen any tight clothing, or slowly cool yourself down with cold water! If your symptoms worsen or are severe, contact EMS (911). Check out some prevention tips included in this post and the Canadian Red Cross website for additional information!
It is so great to be back at an event! The team is ready to go at the St. Thomas Raceway.
Exciting news! The ONSite crew will be working at the St. Thomas Dragway this weekend. http://www.stthomasdragway.ca/ I'd say join us there, but it is for drivers only -- no spectators. It's a good sign that maybe things are improving in this part of the world!
