For the last couple of years, staff at OAHS gift our Executive Director Justin Marchand with a donation from all of us to a worthy cause in Ontario to spread some cheer and kindness during the holidays! This year, Justin chose that we should donate this year to Pauline's Place in Sault Ste. Marie! On Friday, staff members Alyssa and Danielle dropped off our donation of $450.00 to them directly! The donation will be used to buy holiday gifts for families throughout the co...mmunity who are in need. They were extremely thankful and so are we to be able to donate to them! Way to go OAHS team!

Today is National Aboriginal Veterans' Day. Every year on November 8th, we honour those Indigenous people who have served and sacrificed from our region and beyond. From the War of 1812 to the present, Indigenous men and women have continued enlisting to this day, supporting peace missions around the world.... Let's honour their long and proud history today. This special poppy is made of fabric and sweetgrass, symbolizing healing and peace, created by a local Indigenous artist. Lest we forget.
