What a big boy!

We are super pleased to announce that all our hard work has paid off, and Project Aware has officially recognized our efforts to keep Alouette Lake clean. Thank you to everyone who has already joined one of our monthly clean ups, and thank you to everyone who plans on attending future clean ups. Our next underwater clean up is September 20th. We hope to see you all there!

A big thank you to everyone who came out to our underwater clean up at Alouette Lake this past weekend! We had a great time treasure hunting, bringing heaps of garbage to help keep our lakes beautiful. We'll see you all at our next clean up on September 20th!

We did our monthly dive against debris at Alloette Lake today. We removed 110lbs of trash from the lake. We will be back November 29.

Ocean Pro is Diving at Porteau Cove this Sunday at 8:30AM. Come join us and get your gills wet! No BBQ this week, as we aim to maintain social distancing protocols. This will not be a divemaster led, so it will be important that you are comfortable diving in a buddy pair. If you do not have your own buddy, we will pair you up. If you need rental gear let us know ASAP as it is going quick!

We had a great time cleaning up Alouette Lake this past Sunday. Thank you to everyone who came out, with your help we pulled 36.6lbs of trash out of the lake! We'll see you at our next clean up in August!

July 12 is your first opportunity to help! We have officially adopted Allouette lake in Golden Ears park as our dive site to maintain and keep clean. What does this mean? It means that once a month we will be dong a survey/lake clean up and everyone is invited to help.

I heard the other day that there are some folks that think bad viz means bad diving. So heres some tips for low viz diving fun : - Keep it Slow. Unhurried. Leisurely. Deliberate. Think you're slow? Go slower. - Spot the tiny things. The slower you go, the more you'll see, and in low viz that's what you're looking for... - Carry a torch. No, not for me, but to signal your buddy and see when it's not so bright. - Lights, Camera, Action!! Take the camera and practice your macro techniques, video or photo. Just remember to aim those lights to avoid backscatter. As an example of what to look for, here's a few shots I took the other day at Whytecliffe in 2-3 meters of viz. Happy Diving!!
