Just a reminder that the mini sessions for families who have lost their treasured images in the Fort McMurray fires is happening this week. I was up in Spruce grove last weekend and captured these images of some of my favourite clients. It is a beautiful area. I know I can't replace lost images, but this is a great opportunity to capture some new memories. I still have spots left both on July 13 and 14 so please contact me asap if you are interested in these sessions!

I will be in Spruce Grove (near Edmonton) this July offering mini sessions to families affected by the Fort McMurray fires. Please pass this on to anyone you know who has lost their treasured memories.

One thing about this job that I LOVE is that it offers me the flexibility to spend as much time with my kids as possible. To the extreme that I often bring my whole family with me to sessions! I get to have a blast photographing your family and my wonderful hubby and kids get to hear out and explore our location. Then when we are done, through the wonders of cell phones I connect back with my family and we head home. Another perk is that I am usually in full photo mood and I can snap a few images of my kids! Tonight I spent a wonderful evening with one of my favourite families. After we said our good byes I found my family and got this image. I typically only get a few seconds with my own kids before they have had enough and just want to return to playing, but often that is enough!

This wonderful family has asked me to share their video so they can share it with all their friends and family. This video is so amazing because you get to see some true moments with everyone in the family. They are fun of love, joy and beauty. Here is one of the responses I received from the mom at this session (shared with her consent) "The video captures the whole experience. The photos capture a moment in the experience. The video goes beyond that moment. It is genuine. I... think what also makes it special is that you can see how much it means to you through the editing and the moments captured. You share your passion as well." The reason I do this is truly for the families I photograph. Every single one is amazing in is own unique way and I am greatly honoured that they have asked me to document these precious moments for them.
