Osteopathy is not deemed as an essential service by the Government of Ontario like other health care modalities such as chiro, physio and massage. This means we are currently unable to provide the much needed care to those who need it. Please take a moment to sign the below petition to support the inclusion of osteopathy as an essential service so that we can get back to helping our communities. https://www.change.org/p/ministry-of-health-government-offi

Are you looking down on your phone/laptop right now? Kyphotic posture is typically seen in the elderly population. However in this generation, we are glued to technology. Head carriage due to work and lifestyle is something I notice a lot with patients that come into the clinic, presenting with neck and upper back pain. The forward head carriage not only puts strain on your spine and muscles, but also on important blood vessels, lymph and nerves that travel in this area. Via ...compromised autonomics and blood supply, this posture over time may lead to: Headaches, Sinus/Congestion, High BP, troubles breathing, shoulder impingement, thoracic outlet syndrome, numbness/tingling, fatigue, TMJ, and compressed disc. I guess posture is important!
