Hello everyone, it's been quite a while since I last posted, largely because I have been busy teaching and keeping up with my students. Thanks to all of you and your unwavering support, Oxbridge Prep has grown and is continuing to grow. As most of you know, Oxbridge Prep was born out of my passion to teach and to give back in any way that I can. I was blessed with an enlightening and wonderful education which I believe should be a right and not simply a privilege. I have chos...en to distinguish Oxbridge Prep by keeping it manageable in order to reach all those students who truly need the academic skills and coaching. It is not a program which simply targets the best and the brightest. Yes, we do provide enrichment and have many success stories to date. However, I also proudly specialize in assisting those students who struggle with literacy and expression in any form. The integrity of this program lies in its ability to make the strong even stronger, better and faster, and to make those who struggle capable of surpassing those barriers to meet and exceed their goals. Over the past three years, my students have moved on to universities across Canada and are excelling in their programs. I am also proud of my students who have gained entrance to IB and other specialized programs across the GTA and who are flourishing therein. My greatest pride lies in my students who regularly attend class and who achieve great strides in their daily endeavours and who have made leaps and bounds on their report cards. Oxbridge Prep is about ensuring success first and foremost where it matters most for all students and parents: at school. My students span grades 1 to 12 and beyond, and focus not simply on becoming academically successful but also on becoming world citizens by partcipating in all aspects of school life. I look forward to the coming academic year and I sincerely hope that everyone is enoying a safe yet invigorating summer. Carrie, Lisa and myself sincerely hope that everyone enjoyed a restful yet festive season. Another school term is upon us and we at Oxbridge Prep are already gearing up with our students for February report cards. In 2017, we excelled and our primary objective for 2018 is to exceed all expectations. Given this, we are constantly assessing, streamlining and innovating to fulfill the ever changing requirements of our students. A comprehensive, rigorous and challenging education... is a fluid, constantly evolving process, to which we are extremely committed. We take this opportunity to remind parents and students that the integrity of our programs can only be achieved and maintained in collaboration with its participants. In order to attain desired results not only on report cards but in all school activities, students must apply the knowledge, concepts and strategies we are imparting at Oxbridge Prep, throughout the school year. Our programs are meant to supplement and significantly enhance the materials and concepts which our students are learning in school. Therefore, a focus on assignments and homework, from both school and Oxbridge Prep, is essential for success. We strongly encourage parents to frequently check in with their children regarding their progress so that issues and concerns can be identified early on and resolved. Proper study habits, a strong work ethic, ambition and a desire to learn and to constantly push the boundaries and limits of personal success are all key to your children's success in life. Learning is achieved on many fronts but typically solidified at home. Numerous studies clearly indicate that frequent and positive communication, responsibility, accountability, constructive encouragement and mentoring at home all provide a solid platform for both academic and personal success. In addition, a healthy mind can only thrive in a healthy body. Please ensure that your children are eating regular and balanced meals, exercising daily and getting enough sleep. As well, a family that communicates, plays and collaborates as a unit directly contributes to the growth and development of the children in its midst.
