Three years ago I fell in love with horses while at summer camp. The camp I go to is very special, it is for kids with cancer. You see four years ago I was diagnosed with Leukemia. It was a very scary and rough few years. I lost all my hair more than once, had to stay at Cheo lots and I stopped walking for a whole month from the chemo. I then spent 2 years doing physio therapy to get my legs strong again. I have since finished treatment and have been asking for a horse every year for Christmas. But my mom says our townhouse backyard isn’t big enough for one and neither is the bank account. So I just wait until the summer so I can go to camp and enjoy getting to ride and be around the horses. This year due to covid our camp was cancelled, so I really missed getting to go. I would love to be able to one day have my very own horse to take care of and ride. It would make all my dreams come true to be able to win a pony friend for a year! Thank you Rachel

I'm very responsible and help my Mom and Dad look after my younger brothers. I love practicing gymnastics and playing in the park but most of all I love ponies. Because I have a big family and it's not possible for my parents to afford riding lessons. My dream is to be best friends with a pony and learn how to ride. If I won this contest I would feel so happy and would love the pony so much. ENTRY #3: NORA Hi I’m Nora, I’m 12 years old. I have a big passion for horses! I started riding about 5 months ago, and since then, I’ve loved it! I volunteer at my current lesson barn, so I know all the basics. I would love to have this opportunity because I think it would be beneficial for me to expand my knowledge in horses, and become a stronger rider. Some benefits that this experience can give me would be responsibility, and I can definitely learn more things from their behaviour!
