In light of the current global events, the Prince Albert Youth Soccer Association (PAYSA) joins the rest of the society to condemn racism in all of its forms. While racism has no place in any context, we commit to redoubling our effort to promote diversity and inclusiveness in our soccer community. We all have a collective responsibility to provide a non-discriminatory and safe environment for all our players to enjoy the game of soccer.

Spring soccer cancellation statement April 26, 2020 Dear PAYSA families,... Hope you safe and healthy. The past month has been stressful and these are uncertain times in any sports community. The Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) and Saskatchewan Soccer Association (SSA) have been meeting regularly to discuss when and if soccer activities might resume. PAYSA’s main focus at this time is the well-being and safety of our soccer families. Most of the fields in the Province have been closed until June 30th. There is no guarantee that they will be open for summer or social distancing requirements will be lifted. PAYSA has made the challenging yet necessary and unprecedented decision to cancel the Spring 2020 Soccer Season. This is not the outcome the Board of the Directors was hoping for, but with the directions of Saskatchewan Health, there was no other alternative. Please contact the office at [email protected] for a refund of your spring registration. Looking forward to seeing everyone in the fall for indoor registration. Regards, Nnamdi Ndubuka President, Prince Albert Youth Soccer Association

PAYSA 08.06.2020

March 16, 2020 To: All PAYSA Members From: Nnamdi Ndubuka, President PAYSA Re: COVID-19 Response ... Dear PAYSA members and registrants, On March 12, 2020, Saskatchewan announced the first presumptive case of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the province. PAYSA has been closely monitoring the evolving situation, and we would like to reaffirm the health and safety of all our members remain a top priority. PAYSA is continuing to follow guidance from Saskatchewan Public Health Officials, Public Health Agency of Canada and other public health agencies to provide directions as we look to maintain the health and safety of our members including coaches, volunteers, support staff and officials. PAYSA will continue to plan for the outdoor season. As the COVID-19 situation continues to change rapidly, there is no way to predict what will transpire in the coming days and weeks. If we have to cancel the season, registration fees will be refunded in full. We encourage members to use the online portal for late registrations. If you choose to come in person to PAYSA office on March 24th between 8am and 2:30pm, please ensure that you do not have personal contact (no handshake, no hugs), practice social distancing (2 meters/2 arm’s length distance), follow cough & sneeze etiquette, sanitize and wash hand often. Please note that participation is purely voluntary. Registrations are still accepted in the office Monday-Friday 9-2:30pm. Payment methods accepted are debt, cash and cheques. We urge our members to follow the precautions outlined by the public health officials. At this time, prevention remains the best way to protect yourself. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after using the washroom and when preparing food. Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available. Cough or sneeze into a tissue or the bend of your arm, not your hand. Dispose of any tissues you have used as soon as possible in a lined waste basket and wash your hands afterwards. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands. Clean high-touch surfaces frequently with regular household cleaners or diluted bleach (a 9/1 water-to-bleach ratio is recommended) Practice social distancing - no handshakes, no hugging Stay home if you are sick, do not attend PAYSA event Maintain good general health (eat a balanced diet, get enough sleep, exercise in moderation). Contact 8-1-1 (HealthLine) or your health care provider for questions about your personal health situation.
