T H R O W B A C K T H U R S D A Y Pugsley was a Mexi Perro rescue. I was told that he was on the side of a very busy highway with his mom and 3 other litter mates. Unfortunately he was the only one they were able to rescue. Because of this he us afraid of busy streets and large trucks. He was fostered by Dasha Adamson before we took him as our forever fur baby. He has come a long way. A lot less jumpy than he was when we got him. He is such a loving boy and has the best happy dance wiggle bum for anyone that will give him attention, particularly ladies. He is gentle with small dogs/puppies and other critters. We always get comments from strangers that he made their day. He loves to play and to steal other dogs balls to play keep away. We are seriously SO lucky and beyond happy to have him in our lives -Tiffany

Buddy is a 2 year old male Golden Retriever that ideally will be around 100lbs, but current sits at about 120lbs. He came to us as a local owner surrender after his family could no longer handle his resource guarding issues. *PLEASE READ ENTIRE BIO BEFORE APPLYING FOR BUDDY* Buddy has been staying with our resident trainer, The Pack Dog Training, for the last month. Overall he is a very good dog, but is continuing to work on his boundary testing and resource guarding issues.... He is continuing to be hand fed for every meal, and only having short moments of time with toys and high value treats as that is his biggest issue. He doesn't like it when the things he likes the most are taken away, and any family interested in him have to be committed to continuing this aspect of his training for some time. Because of these particular issues, we will not be considering homes with children under the age of 16. Buddy LOVES other dogs, big and small, but likes to test boundaries. He doesn't fully respect small dogs, and while it's only play, can be too much. We think he would do amazing in a home with another confident well mannered dog to learn from and play with. We haven't fully tested him with cats, but feel with rules and structure and slow introduction he could live with one. As he continues to lose weight, he is getting more and more active. His furever home should be medium to high active and absolutely need to make training and socialization part of everyday. He is great off leash, and stays close and comes when called...plus he LOVES to play fetch! He is a but shy at first meeting new people, but with a slow and proper introduction honoring space, he warms up quickly, especially when treats are involved! In the home he is perfectly crate trained, house broken and good on leash. No separation anxiety or destructive tendencies. That is the PRO, the CON is that he thinks the house is HIS and there is where he has the most issues with his humans. STRICT rules and boundaries and very little freedom will be the beginning of his relationship with you; in his crate, or on his muzzle on leash will be necessary thru your courting phase. If you think you could be a good match for Buddy, please email us at [email protected]!

Miss Maya was originally rescued from an animal abuse situation a few years ago in Mexico and spent time with our amazing friends at Mexi Perro getting healthy and learning how to dog. The absolutely perfect foster for Maya offered to care for a pup that was coming to our rescue and our matchmaker knew that this home and this pup were going to be special together. It was only a few weeks later that the words foster fail started floating around. Maya now lives her best happily ever after in Vancouver and those days of being a forgotten mistreated pup are nothing but fading memories. Welcome home Maya

Lily is an adorable "itty bitty pitty" that is 6.5 years old and weighs around 35lbs. She came to us 5+ years ago from the Arizona shelter system and was adopted into a wonderful home here in Vancouver, BC area. Due to life changes and some incidents, mom and family felt they were no longer the best fit for Lily and asked us to find her a new home that could provide the structure and confidence she needs. *NO NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT THE FAMILY'S DECISION WILL BE TOLERATED ...AND COMMENTS INSINUATING ANYTHING OF THE SORT WILL BE DELETED WITH THE USER BANNED FROM THE PAGE* Lily is the sweetest, snuggliest girl. She LOVES humans, and is a titch shy at first, but once she trusts you, she's a little snuggle bean. We would have no concerns with her with people of any age as long as they are calm and respectful of her space (i.e small grabby children a no no) She does amazing with other dogs, big and small, as long as they are calm and balanced. You see, Lily is insecure and not a confident gal, and therefore needs doggie buddies that can balance that. If she is around too hyper, nervous or rude dogs, she becomes the "hall monitor" and must correct them. She has had a few mixed interactions over the years, both positive and negative. She has been living with The Pack Dog Training for over a week now with zero incidents and loving pack life, including going to training daily to help other doggies! You can check her out daily on their Instagram and Facebook stories. She is also perfectly muzzle trained to set everyone minds at ease for initial intros and settling into new relationships. She also lived with a cat for years. Lily is a medium energy gal. While she enjoys the occasional hike and a good daily walk, she is by no means and athlete and promptly would enjoy a snuggle on the couch or bed after her daily exercise. She loves the outdoors and enjoyed camping with her former family. Lily is perfectly crate trained, house broken and great on leash. She isn't a huge fan of car rides, but if you give her a treat or toy to focus her anxiety on, she is fine. She has no separation anxiety or destructive tendencies. As with all our dogs, she is spayed and up to date on all shots and vaccines and tattooed. This little lady has a ton of life left and would make an ideal companion in almost any living situation. If you think Lily is a good fit for you, please email us at [email protected]

Pinguino was once a puppy on the streets of Mexico and now he is living his best life here in BC! Thanks to his amazing rescuers at Mexi Perro he was saved from being attacked by the other dogs on the streets, given proper medical treatment and nourishment, and after a few months of rehabilitation we were asked if we would help him find his forever home. Pinguino came our rescue and spent numerous weeks hanging out in a wonderful foster home, but while we thought he was just... decompressing, Pinguino was actually making himself part of the family! This foster fail pup now has the family we could all wish for him. Welcome Home Pinguino!

Grecko is a 3 year old male bully that weighs around 60lbs that came to us from Mexiperro rescue in Puebla City. He has been in Canada over a month, staying with a foster who knows him best, and here's what she has to say about this sweet guy: Greko has proven to be a truely loving family dog. ... If your looking for the stereotypical house hippo look no further. He plays hard, loves hard and cuddles hard. He’s looking for his person, and has proven that. Once found, there’s no doubt he will be loyal until the end. He’s good with other dogs and loves a good wrestle he will always be the first to instigate play. He can read the room and know when there’s a time for play and knows when it’s time to relax. He is currently living in a household with a young child and 2 large dogs without issue but we are unsure how he may do with cats. He still needs some work, as they do. We are still working on potty training with him. These issues are not uncommon, although it will take a consistent effort to keep him on track. As with all our dogs, he is neutered and up to date on all shots and vaccines, in addition to 4dx snap tested, and heartworm negative. If you think he is a good fit for you, please email us at [email protected]

Basic Information Name: Aries Age: Approx 2 Breed: Bully breed mix Weight: 45 lbs ... Spay/Neuter: No, will get done once in foster Information Dogs: Yes with proper introductions Cats: Shows playful interest in them Kids: Friendly with the ones he has met Crate Trained: No House Trained: Yes Any Aggression (food or other): No Any other issues: Strangers must be properly introduced About Aries is a very sweet bully mix that his current owner got off Craigslist in august 2020. When they got to the house is Surrey, they found Aries tied up outside with no food or water or shelter so they instantly took him, however his current owner can no longer care for him and has asked us to take him in. After being assessed by one of our trainers, we felt we needed to help this boy find his happily ever after. Aries seems to be young and is very playful. He loves all dogs and people (after a proper introduction) and has never tried biting another dog, but he did try to defend himself when he was previously attacked by another dog once who came charging out of an open gate. He seems interested in cats but isn’t aggressive towards them, he tries to play with the cat he currently lives with but the cat doesn’t like him, so he leaves her alone when you tell him to stop. After a proper introduction, Aries loves all people and I have seen him with little kids , he is very gently and likes to try get pets from everyone he meets out on a walk. He does not like strangers reaching for him. He has nipped in the past when strangers tried grabbing for him. He is very good on a leash and I let him run off leash on trails and when camping, he listens very good and doesn’t run away. Aries has no separation anxiety but he does love to spend time with him humans. He is medium energy and would love to have someone to go on adventures with and get out and live their best lives together! If you are interested in fostering Aries and have filled out an application before please email us at [email protected] If you have not submitted an application before, please fill one out on our website www.pbandchi.com under the Foster to Adopt tab.

Unfortunately Daisy’s original family was forced to give her up when their strata said Daisy was just to big to stay. When they reached out to us asking for help with finding Daisy a new wonderful family, it was very obvious how much they loved this beautiful senior lady and we were more than happy to help. Now Daisy spends her golden years with a new wonderful family who has loved her as if she has been theirs forever. Daisy spends her days playing and being showered by love as she enjoys her golden years. Welcome Home Daisy

Edit: Foster Found! FOSTER NEEDED ASAP Lucy is in need of a new foster at zero fault of her own. ... Foster Notes: Lucy is calm and loving. She is a good walking partner and cuddler (gives lots of kisses too). She enjoys sleeping, and is treat motivated. Needs some socialization and training with dogs and humans. Her fear comes out in growling and sometimes barking, but it's getting better. She gets cold so she has a jacket and gets lots of compliments on it. Doesn't really like the snow yet, but didn't like the rain at first and now doesn't mind it. She is crate trained and house trained as well. Looking for someone who is a calm confident leader and will be able to help Lucy continue with gaining her confidence. If you are willing to be this sweet girls foster, please email us [email protected]

Thea 1 years old Pibble mix Weighs approx 45 lbs... Older kids Cats House trained Dogs - Work In Progress (fear reactive) Notes: Thea is came to us through our rescue friends in Merced California, as her owners needed to find her a new home because she is too much spunk for their senior dog. She is very sweet however Thea can be a little shy at first meeting new humans, sometimes barking and acting tough, but after a walk and some treats she warms up and she can be your snuggly BFF. We feel a calm home without small children and not super social would be ideal for her. Also, someone with breed experience, especially with reactive dogs, and one that would make training part of their everyday would be a must. Thea used to be very well with other dogs but since coming to Canada she has displayed reactive behaviors of a under socialized pup. When she lived in California Thea lived with an older dog perfectly fine, so we know she has it in her. She has done a few training sessions, and even stayed with a trainer for a bit to work on her human and dog fear and made some great progress. With calm and confident dogs, she does very well. She has also done well with cats! To set her up for success, PB & Chi will be offering training to her committed foster to adopt home. Thea is house trained, working on crate training (although is not destructive when left out at all) and with her minor separation anxiety. Her current foster has made training a part of everyday and say she has come leaps and bounds with many things, including recall, fetch, impulse control, and manners overall and says he believes "she will get passed her quirks quickly and can acclimate to a family with no effort" She is spayed and up to date on shots, if interested in Thea please email us at [email protected] or go to www.pbandchi.com to fill out an application.

JoJo was on one of Harlow’s puppies born into the rescue last year, and after previously being adopted to another family, she came back to us a short while later because her original family realized she was going to need more than they could give her and they wanted her to have nothing short of the very best. After meeting her at one of our adoption events and spending some time getting to see how she interacted and how energetic she was, it was obvious to JoJo’s new parents that she was what was missing from their home and they were in love. Though JoJo met some other awesome families, it was obvious to everyone that this is where she belonged. JoJo now spends her days in Langley doing all the fun things and going on all the adventures. Welcome home JoJo

*UPDATE* Shiner has been placed with a different rescue. Thank you to everyone who wanted to foster or adopt him FOSTER NEEDED FOR SHINER We were recently contacted to see if we would be willing to welcome Shiner after his owners surrendered him to the City of Oliver, for no fault of his own other than he kept getting out of his yard. We would love to help this sweet face find his forever home, but first we need a foster who is willing to let him hang out for a bit whil...e we get to know him better. This is what we know so far: Age: Approx 2 years old Breed: Pit Mix Sex: Male (needs to get neutered) Weight: Around 30 -40 lbs Kids: Unknown Cats: Unknown Dogs: Met through fences and did well, but no formal testing done yet. Notes: He is 2 years old, pitty x. Intact. Weigh around 30lbs. LOVES to swim, squeaky toys, and pretty much anything that involves play and food. 2 years old, intact male, Pit mix. Hasn't shown any aggression towards myself or anyone. He is still young and dumb. I mean that in the best possible way. I don't know if he has been around little kids or cats. I've brought him to the dog park and he has met a couple dogs thru the fence. He is definitely tuned in to other pups. He has been loose several times in a pretty dense dog neighborhood and no reports of dog issues. He loves loves loves to swim. Fetch and squeaky toys. Recall is 2 out of 10. Squeaky toy work. Reactive to skateboards ...bikes. not aggressive, just crazy excited. He has been found running around the neighbourhood that is dog dense and there has never been any history or reports of him being in any altercations." If you are willing to foster Shiner, please fill out an application at www.pbandchi.com under the Foster/Adopt tab. If you have applied to us before, please email us at [email protected]

A few weeks ago we took in a local owner surrender of three 10 week old Mastiff x Cane Corso x Bully mix puppies and now that we have gotten to know them a bit, they have been vetted, and are 13 weeks old, we are ready to start searching for their forever homes! All pups are on solid food, have received their first round of shots, been dewormed, but will be receiving their second set + rabies tomorrow. They are puppy pad trained but have been working on mastering going to t...he bathroom outside (private yard only currently) Chase weighs 16 lbs currently is the smallest of them all but he makes up for it in personality. He likes to play outside (private yard) and then get in some snuggle time. Currently he is sleeping through the night, picking up on the house morning routine, and knows commands such as "off," "no," and "come" (most of the time) Max weighs 19 lbs currently and this sweet boy is becoming more confident each day. He loves exploring and smelling everything around him (anyone want a dog to do scent work with?!). He just learned how to walk up the stairs and working on cautiously coming back down. He also sleeps through the night and his favourite thing is finding a lost sock or toy and hiding in the corner to chew it all alone. He loves tummy rubs and thumps his leg when you give him rubs. Jazzy is the only girl in the group and she currently weighs 25 lbs. This little lady is a sassy pants. Like most females, she likes things to be her way and sometimes needs to be told a couple of times when that doesn't happen. She's super clever, bright, and alert. One of her favourite games is playing fetch and she will even bring the ball back to you. Jazzy is very active and needs a few hours of good stimulation each day or she can get a bit mouthy. She is food motivated and is learning new commands each day but sometimes tries to change the rules. Jazzy will need to go to a home that has breed experience and is going to make rules and boundaries a consistent part of her life. Homes that are interested in adopting one of these babies must be prepared for them to grow into large (possibly extra large) size dogs, as well as be committed to raising a well rounded dog. Any chosen home must be enrolled in positive based puppy training classes before they will be able to take their puppy home. We are more than happy to suggest a couple awesome trainers who have excellent puppy programs to help you set your pup up for becoming a breed ambassador :) If you are interested in applying for one of these sweet babes please fill out an application at www.pbandchi.com under the Foster/Adopt tab If you have previously filled out an application and are interested in possibly meeting them, please email us at [email protected]
