Meet one of our Xplornet technicians, Richard Labonte! Richard is no stranger to this industry. Before working with Xplornet, Richard had his own company that also installed phone, cable, and other networking solutions to homes and businesses. His work with Xplornet has been similar to what he was previously doing in his 20-year career but the experiences are always different. He really enjoys visiting new places, meeting new people, and setting them up with new, otherwise im...possible internet connections in rural communities. Richard was raised in Goulds and wanted to remain rural when he built his own home in the woods 17 years ago. "Living in cabin country is a passion of mine and I get great satisfaction in providing internet and phone services to all of my clients who also choose to live in the country or just visit on weekends." In his spare time, Richard loves to get outdoors and use anything with a motor; quad, side-by-side, snowmobiles, and watercrafts.

When you're rural and your choices are limited, you're often stuck paying a little more for the things you need. With Xplornet, you can get internet service in any small town or back road in Newfoundland & Labrador for less than $100 per month! The Xplornet 50/10 Unlimited plan offers you 50Mbps download speeds and no data cap for $99.99/month on a two-year term.... Skeptics are probably thinking that the price will double after that, right? Wrong, because after two years, the plan is $109.99/month. With a 30-day money-back guarantee, can you afford not to try it out? Give us a call at 709-640-2328 if you have any questions or visit our website for more information: www.phone-tech.net/internet-packages

We've talked before about the benefits of having a home that's protected and connected at all times. One of the biggest is being able to check on things and even make changes while you're away. The problem is that you actually have to remember to check in the first place. Alarm.com's Geo-Services remind you so that you don't have to worry or wonder. If you leave your home without setting the alarm, or closing the garage door, or turning down the thermostat (among other things...), not only can you change it from your phone, but their service also uses your phone's location to tell that you've left your house and remind you if you forgot something! On top of that, it'll also be able to tell when you're headed home, which you can use to set up helpful home automation rules, like opening the garage, turning off the alarm, and turning the thermostat up. How's that for helpful? Read more about Alarm.com's Geo-Services on their website: https://alarm.com/resources/geo-services-introduction
