ALWAYS get multiple estimates and read the fine print on ANY service contract. They rarely end up in a cost savings or benefit to the customer. 2. NO DECISION HAS TO BE MADE NOW. Take your time to review whats been presented, and ask questions. If you feel pressured, walk away from the deal. 3. DONT FALL FOR THE SLICK SALESPERSON. Often people promise the world but really have very little knowledge about the equipment theyre selling. Ask technical questions and do some research online (or your local library if thats your style). 4. CHECK FOR CREDENTIALS, business standing, and insurance. Any unpermitted work or work done by unqualified people may void your house insurance. 5. DONT OVER PAY FOR FINANCING. Some companies may offer in house financing but theyre usually at ridiculously high rates. Finance through MB Hydro or your local bank if you need to to ensure you get the best rates. 6.
