Port President Steve Salmons is given a demonstration by Akash Charuvila, Virtual Reality CAVE Operator, of an advanced 3-D lab capable of creating true immersion in simulations to test self-drive technologies, train and test new equipment, and provide realistic ‘hands-on’ explorations of prototypes. This positions Windsor-Essex as Canada’s leading #VR lab for next generation manufacturing and training. The Virtual Reality Cave is hosted by the WindsorEssex Economic Development Corporation at its Institute for Border Logistics and Security (IBLS).

A Taste of Windsor: Due to COVID restrictions on seafarers, they are unable to get off their ships. So why not bring the port to them? Shown here a crew member from Royal Wagenborg's Amurborg, originating from the Netherlands, happily accepts 2 meat lover pizzas from Arcata Pizzeria during a stop to pick up grain at ADM Agri-Industries Windsor. Thank you for keeping our economy flowing!
