in 2016 Queen's disposed of 276 metric tonnes of single-use coffee cups, the largest source of material waste on campus, which is pretty messed up when you think about it. we thought so too so we're going to do something about it. we partnered with Common Ground, Queen's Backing Action on Climate Change (QBACC), The Brew, and the AMS to eliminate single-use cups on campus. HuskeeSwap is a global cup exchange program which allows customers to drop off their HuskeeCup at partic...ipating cafes all over the world, order the drink of their choice, and receive a new clean cup that is sanitized in industrial dishwashers. all you need to participate in the program is a HuskeeCup, which are available at Common Ground, the Tea Room, and The Brew! once you purchase a cup, you are part of a lifelong program and a closed-loop system: even if you break your cup, you can return it for a new one for free and Huskee will collect and repurpose it! you can learn more here: https://huskee.co/swap/ on Wednesday, February 5th we will be launching the HuskeeSwap program and will be giving away 150 FREE HuskeeCups with our partners in the ARC from 9 AM-12 PM, as well as free coffee or tea to people who bring in or purchase a HuskeeCup. help us eliminate waste on campus! #morethanjustacup #ditchyourdisposable #noexcuseforsingleuse

being a student is hard. heck, being a person is hard. it can be really difficult to know where to turn when you're looking for help sometimes. especially here - queen's is a pretty big place with a seemingly infinite number of buildings, spaces, groups, and organizations. here's a quick guide on where to turn when things get difficult and you need a hand, whether it be academically or personally. (thanks to QueensEvents.ca for putting this together) https://queensevents.ca/f/how-where-to-ask-for-help-at-quee
