The rumours are true: Rapid Fire Theatre is moving to our Forever Home in Old Strathcona! After many years of searching for the perfect space, we have now signed a 40-year lease for TELUS' Strathcona Exchange Building located at 10437 83 Ave. Throughout our entire history, we have operated out of many beloved venues, including Theatre Network’s space in the shadow of the Coliseum, the old Phoenix Theatre downtown, the old Varscona Theatre in Old Strathcona, the Avenue T...heatre on 118 Ave and most recently the Citadel Theatre downtown. We have shared each of these spaces with other companies, and after 41 years of growth, we are in need of a dedicated space for all of our weekly improv shows, festivals and educational programming. This lease opportunity will provide much-needed performance, educational, and administrative space for RFT and it will help us solidify our presence in Edmonton’s cultural scene for the next 40 years and beyond.
