If you're looking to buy a condo, the time to buy is now...or the next few months. Condo Market:the average condo price in the city has dropped by roughly $20K in the last month. With inventoryvolume sitting at ~6K units and sales hovering ~1.4K, this trend will continue until restrictions relating to immigration and travel are lifted. Once this happens, condo prices will bounce back. A recent study done by Urbanation for theFederation of rental-housing Providers of Onta...rio (FRPO) found that despite the COVID-related hit to the rental market, we'll have a shortage of 200K units in Ontario's rental market over the next decade. So the next 4-6 months will present a great opportunity for buyers to get their foot in the door. June Market Report is here. In summary, prices are up across all property types. Semis saw the biggest jump, up by 22% from last June. Detached were up by 14%; condos up by 6%. The sales volume was up to just below last year's numbers.
