Sealed Mac, sealed Rebennack, sealed Funk Dr, sealed Heeeeere's Johnny.. the one, the only... The Night Tripper! Gris Gris is the debut album from the funky New Orleans mojo man, Dr John, which was released on Atco records back in 1968! This still is the toughest Dr John to source in the store. Although this copy is not an original press, it's still a vintage press. The record is of the unknown year type, likely 80s or 90s press. Can't be too sure without opening, but based o...ff weight, printing color, and seal, our best bet is 80s or 90s. Psychedelic Soul, Voodoo Rhythms, and definitive Night Music.. we're excited to have this press in the store nonetheless, and to all my Dr John collectors out there, this is one of those sure shots to add to the collection. Just make one promise, that it will be opened and spun and enjoyed! And to all my Sunny In Philly fans, the Night Man Cometh. Gris Gris baby, 1968 in the house as usual. What's your favorite Dr John album? See more

Vintage Nick Drake album debut on the Antilles label, 1976 pressing from North America! It's in remarkable condition as well. Originally released on Island records in the UK in 1969, those copies sell for well over $1000. Island records created the Antilles record label for North American releases in what's listed as 1975/1976. However oddly enough, the album sleeve is printed as 1973, and so does the label on the record, list the copyright and year as 1973. There are 4 diffe...rent (slight type differences) on the US labels listed as 1976 on discogs. If the label was created by Island in 1975/1976, it's odd how the sleeve and vinyl label prints as 1973. Either way, excellent album, by an artist who's vintage presses are extremely hard to find, and often sell for great amounts. However, there are plenty of reissues abound, some as box sets, which we generally have in stock. Alas, here's your chance to grab a vintage, 1976 pressing on the Antilles label, in excellent condition! Never before had in store! See more

Continuing on with the UK press collection, here is an original mono 1965 UK press of Miles Davis - E.S.P.! Now this album is really special, as it kicks off the second half of Miles Davis career with a strong presence of players! Continuing on from My Funny Valentine, Miles is blessed again with the likes of Ron Carter, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, and Tony Williams. Now that is a seriously heavy line up! With all songs written by Davis, Shorter, Carter, and Hancock, most ...track listings average on about 7+ minutes. Miles solo on Eighty-One is a sure shot killer. Herbies own written gem here is Little One. A predecessor to the Bitches Brew scene. Mood really sets the tone here, albeit the last song on the album, it really shows in Ron Carters playing. Tbis being a Carter tune anyhow. But the way Shorter sends the Sax into oblivion is something to be amazed at here. A record we truly don't see often enough, this one is a UK mono original press to boot. It don't get better than that! See more

Wow! What an album! The Zoo presents Chocolate Moose, Reissued for the first time on LP since 1968 (officially), this album features Howard Leese of Heart! It's been a while since we discovered an album at work that we didn't know about before spinning, that completely FLOORED us. This album is nuts, it absolutely is 1000% all killer no filler. This is easily one of the best Psychedelic Rock records you will ever hear, and as hard to find as it is, we're grateful for the re issue. Smokin' heavy Psych here, sort of reminds us of Charlee, the Canadian Hard Rock Psych group featuring Walter Rossi. Take our word on this one, an absolute must, must own!

We're back in the Jazz sack, and couldn't be happier! A wicked tiny collection came in over the weekend, from a new friend from the UK, and he brought with him some beautiful titles we thought we might never see on UK press. These are titles he bought new way back in the 60s in England. . . . Here is a nice UK mono copy of Kind Of Blue, circa sometime mid 60s. Really nice orange CBS label, beautiful clarifoil sleeve, sleeve in great condition, record in wonderfully playable c...ondition, few hairline scratches here and there which produce less than a few light pops throughout the entire play. In any regard, the record is in wonderful condition, and surely to make it's next forever owner happy for many years to come. Not much needs to be said about the music here, everyone knows this is the most highly recommended Jazz album, and for damn good reason. If you love Miles Davis, if you love UK copies, if you love Jazz, if you just love COOL records in vintage press, you wont want to miss this! See more

Really cool cover art on this metal album, from a recent collection holding some original metal press.. Megadeth, Metallica, Motorhead, Dokken, and some other gems. Not out on the floor until next week. Featured is Grim Reaper, with their 4th and final album before disbandment in 1989, released in 1987 on RCA records, with the prior albums being released on Ebony Records. Formed in England in the late 70s, this album is called Rock You To Hell. This album was delayed due to Ebony Records by almost 2 years, so it's safe to assume it was recorded in 1985 ish. Most of their albums were distributed worldwide through RCA anyhow. Technically Heavy Metal, while the Metal scene was shifting to Speed and Thrash. Original press, out next week!

We are re stocked again, this time to the gills!!! Ty's number one favorite album of all time. Quicksilver Messenger Service with Happy Trails. This is a Pure Pleasure Analogue pressing out of the UK. The name says it all... Pure, Pleasure, Analogue... this pressing is by far the best sound you can get out of this album, unless of course you were there, live in 1968. Copies won't last long, come down and talk to Reg and Ty about this sure shot gem... we are a Psychedelic Rock store, which is our specialty, and this record is pure Psychedelic Blues Rock at it's finest! Dig it!
