Sadly, the pandemic has meant that too many of the smiles that go along with taking a new pet home are covered by those necessary, but pesky, masks. Fortunately, in this situation, Samson had a big enough smile to make up for all the others as he joined his new family this past weekend just in time for Family Day!

With the start of a new year, comes new beginnings - and we're sure glad that’s the case for Minnie. She was found abandoned and terrified living in a shed without food or water for days. Happily, she was saved and those lonely days are behind her, and she sets off to start her new life. Way to go, Minnie!
YOU DID IT! Thanks to your sharing of our posts, views of our video and opening your home to a shelter pet, our goal of 165 animals going home was shattered as you helped create 247 new families during our Home for the Holidays campaign. On behalf of each and every one of those pets, thank you.

Salvation was found living on the streets alone and injured. She was immediately tended to by our RHS Veterinary Team, and they made the decision to amputate her hind leg, as it wasn’t able to be saved. After spending time in foster care, Salvation grew strong and healthy so that she could find a new home. We think these two suit each other pretty great, don’t you think?!
What a beautiful family! We could not be happier!

Our pets have given us so much love, joy, comfort and unfailing friendship. When the time comes when we must say goodbye, the Regina Humane Society Pet Cremation Service provides respectful pet cremation services to the public and most Veterinary Clinics in Regina and surrounding communities. Our service is licensed by the Saskatchewan Crematoria Council and our cremations are conducted by Certified Crematorium Technicians under the Funeral and Cremation Services Council of ...Saskatchewan. We are the sole pet-only cremation service to hold these certifications in Saskatchewan. You can be confident that your pet will be cared for with the utmost respect, dignity and professionalism. We received an update on Bosco, who was adopted from the RHS one year ago today. He came to us with a months-old hip injury that had healed incorrectly and would need surgery to allow him to walk and run again properly. Our friends at Indian Head Animal Clinic donated his much-needed operation and, after time recovering under the care of the RHS Vet Team and one of our foster caregivers, Annie’s Animal Rescue sponsored his adoption. Amazing things happen when we all come together for an animal with no where else to turn. If this doesn’t say ‘happy’, we don’t know what does!
What's cuter than a young girl with her new kitten? Pretty much nothing. Looks like Zeppo is going to get plenty of loving as he grows up!
The Home for the Holidays Adoption Event is on! UNTIL NOVEMBER 29, KITTEN ADOPTIONS ARE JUST $75 AND ADULT AND JUNIOR CAT ADOPTIONS ARE REDUCED TO ONLY $25! We asked for your help and you stepped up BIG! You shared Legend’s post over 1,500 times and made it reach over 97,000 people in just 3 days. Late Sunday, while we were all wishing that we could see a Grey Cup come home, there was a very special homecoming happening just the same. After almost 3 months in our care healing from injury and surgeries, Legend has gone home.... Thank you.

As tiny Kramer went home with his new parents earlier this week, he demonstrated wisdom beyond his years knowing that when starting any new relationship, it’s best to do so with one’s eyes wide open!
Happy Wednesday! Plato is here to remind you that we are open for adoptions, and he would love to meet you! Call 306-543-6363 ext. 0 to make an appointment to come on down to meet your new furry friend on this beautiful day.
A doghouse is no place for a kitten to live, but that is exactly where little Snoopy he was found, along with Mom and four siblings. We are very happy was found and even more thrilled that he's heading home to a life of fun and adventures!
We get some awfully cute guests! This mother and daughter duo, Belle and Baby Belle, are all set for Mo-vember as they sport some pretty awesome ‘staches!
When you hear the name Chauncey, I’m sure you think of pet with a golden bowl, a soft bed and all the things a cat could want. However, my story is very different. I lived on the streets for most of my life. I avoided human contact because they were never really very nice to me. One day, I was caught and was brought to the Regina Humane Society. Some of the staff said I had a resting grump face that made me look menacing, but they saw passed my appearance and reached in to... pet me. It was scary, but it turns out...it felt really nice. I felt like these people really wanted to help me, so I slowly opened my heart to them. I was given soft blankets, all the food I could ask for and even things called treats which are definitely my new favourite thing. They were all so nice to me at the shelter. I had some broken teeth that needed fixing. Once that was done I went into a foster home where I really got to learn how charmed the life of a house cat is. I loved my foster home, but now it’s time to find my own home. My perfect home would need understand that I do still have moments that I’m a bit nervous around new people. Sometimes I hiss around new people because I’m nervous, but I promise I’m a big old teddy bear that would never hurt anyone. I also don’t mind sharing my home with other felines - the more the merrier! Oh, and my perfect home would also have lots of treats...that’s important! Would you be open to giving me a chaunce at a new wonderful life? My foster mom made this cool video of me - and my adoption is fully sponsored too!
The tasty dessert delicacy strudel is no match for the sweetness of this little guy! We were very happy that our Strudel found a warm new home after being found alone outside as winter’s grip was taking hold!
