Lots of water in attics again this year! Connections to your gooseneck vent have to be sealed, or you may be pumping moist air into your attic. It will freeze, and eventually melt. Depending on a number of factors, you may wind up with a wet ceiling, or even mould in your attic. If you haven’t checked it out, now might be a good time!

Really unfortunate event for a customer last weekend. Met at his sister's home to do a #sump inspection. His sister had been travelling for 3 weeks. #water was #leaking the whole time she was gone. #condo sustained massive #waterdamage in the #flood. #Reliantresidential now has #floodprevention #sensors to prevent this kind of tragedy.

More water issues! This is the 5th floor we have replaced already in 2019. Water pipes burst, flooding a large part of the home. It was wet long enough to create mould, which made the job bigger than it otherwise would be. Subfloor and cabinet removal required...Since the picture, flooring has been replaced. Cabinets and baseboards go in / on tomorrow!

Nearly finished! A couple small finishing tasks, then they get filled. Wind and rain hit us just when we were pushing for the finish line. Didn’t quite make it today...

Can't call these "Before / After", yet, as they are not yet "After". Call them "Before/During". 2nd tier (in front, and lower) would be added tomorrow, but it is supposed to rain. Client is thrilled already. Can't wait to see finished product and fill them with flowers!

An appropriate passage from an old TV commercial came to mind today; very relevant to what we do every day at Reliant: : "...(we) make money the old-fashioned way. (We) EARN it!" With apologies to Sir John Gielgud...

Way too busy these days to post things! Fire repairs, drywall repairs, landscaping, painting, decks, fences, pergolas, flooring, and on and on! Interesting new patio cover system we are soon installing for Whyte Avenue Landscaping Supplies. Will post pics when we do.

A small drip from a toilet - doesn't seem like much, but it adds up quickly! This living room ceiling was under a toilet tank. Water cascaded to basement, too. We are helping people with a lot of water problems right now...

A little bit of water goes a long way! Especially if not found and stopped! Small drips from a toilet created 5-figure repairs in recent cases, repairs from a small bit of water coming in under a sliding glass door from a homeowner's deck will run 5 figures, an upcoming repair from water damming and leaking in the house from a poorly done roof will be over $5K... If you have a water issue, deal with it sooner rather than later!
