On-the-Road: These days, client demand is high for my premium (yet very affordable) dental services. Because of this, I am really racking up the kilometers on the mighty Promaster - and taking in the wonderful sites as an added bonus!This past weekend I traveled to Georgian Bay, ON, to provide dental care to a valued patient. Even in the off-season, this region offers gorgeous views!

The electronic stethoscope: The other day someone noticed the stethoscope I was using looked a bit different. I occasionally use an electronic stethoscope in practice as it has some advantages over traditional scopes. By far the most important advantage is that these high-tech instruments can greatly amplify very subtle sounds within the patient (e.g., very mild heart murmur) while at the same time dampening external environmental noises (ambient noise reduction) such as people talking, barking dogs, etc. In addition, I can also record auscultations and email them to specialists for further consultation. I still like using the traditional stethoscope but it’s nice having access to this high-powered scope in certain situations!
