Latest deck project and the sixth project for this client over the last five years. And they just booked a reno of their family bathroom in early 2021 (did a full gut and reno of their master bath with walk-in shower and clawfoot tub 2 years ago). A great, sunny day to finish. Unfortunately, my two August deck projects will have to wait until next summer as there has been a run on pressure treated lumber and deck hardware across western Canada and we're not expecting new stock until the spring.
Renaissance Services (Ray Bethke) has been licensed in Yellowknife, NWT since June, 1995 and has built a strong reputation for quality craftsmanship and customer service. I began work as a carpenter and general contractor in 1981 when I apprenticed with a civil engineer and master carpenter restoring and renovating Victorian homes in Guelph, Ontario. Improving functional design and making the best and most economical use of existing indoor and outdoor spaces has been the main... focus of my work with clients in Yellowknife in both interior and exterior installations, home and commercial renovations, and custom carpentry. In addition to these services, I also provide a range of design assistance, technical drafting and plan rendering services to assist clients with project planning, costing and permitting requirements. My work with clients, many of whom are repeat customers, covers every project element from the initial consultation through to the final piece of trim, tile and lighting. With more than 90 kitchens, 35 bathrooms and 30 custom decks completed over the years, references are readily available. Bookings are usually at least six to twelve months out, so contact me early to discuss your project. I am currently booking projects for winter 2020/21.
Complete re-vamp of this laundry room spilled out into the adjoining foyer increasing the functionality and utility of the spaces.
Walk-in shower with a glass panel really opened up the space in this tight three piece bath.
Finally got around to taking some photos of the accessibility ramp and stairs built for the NWT Literacy Council office last fall. Beautiful, sunny, warm day today almost makes me forget the last few days of the build with snow, frost and fall winds.
Latest small bathroom reno - a cosy space finished with excess "marble" tile from the Explorer Hotel expansion.
