Registered Veterinary Technician We are a mixed animal practice looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team! We are looking for a full time Registered Veterinary Technician to cover an upcoming maternity leave. Seeking someone with great interpersonal skills, able to multitask and a sense of humor.... This person will be assisting in appointments, with surgery, dentistry and anaesthesia. Being a mixed animal clinic you may also be required to assist the veterinarians on farm. This person will also be expected to greet clients, check in patients, schedule appointments, invoice clients, update patient medical records and refill medications. Dear clients, We have been receiving a lot of requests for nail trim appointments and unfortunately this service is considered non-urgent as per our government ...guidelines, and therefore is not available during this time. We are trying our best to minimize exposure and do our part to keep our community safe during the coronavirus pandemic. We understand that this is an inconvenience and we do apologize. We do not want our clients to feel lost or stressed when it comes to home nail trims, so below are some images to help make the experience as positive as possible. If you happen to cut your pets nail too short, corn starch and flour are acceptable clotting agents and work quite well. Thank you for everyone's patience and understanding. We are in this together! On April 3, 2020, the government announced that veterinary services are still essential but for urgent cares only. Urgent cases include care for illness or injuries which require prompt attention that impacts the animal's health. This order will not change what we have been already doing too much, as we have been only booking non-essential appointments since the first government order listing essential businesses. If we have an appointment or surgery booked for you that needs... to move, we will be contacting you to re-schedule. Puppy and kitten vaccines will continue, as they represent a vulnerable population. Vaccinations for Rabies will also continue if your animal is due or overdue, as this is also a public health concern. Food animal services will continue as scheduled in order to protect the health of our food supply. If any producers are in quarantine, yet have a sick animal, please call and we will arrange to bring a tech to help with the call. Medication and food/supply pick-up are currently working well. We ask that you call when you are heading over and we can set your products outside for you. It is flea and tick season, and it is important that your pets start there preventative asap. Payments can be made by e-transfer or over the phone credit card. We will still accept cheques and cash, but would prefer a contact-less form. We are striving for curbside services if at all possible. Stay in your car when you arrive, call the clinic, and a staff member will be out to collect your animal, or drop your purchase outside for you to then pick-up.
