Tilly's girl is getting out of the pouch more often and is getting used to me being there but still a bit standoffish. I suspect within the next couple of weeks she will be out quite a bit each day and we will be able to share more pics and video.

Good Bye to 2020! Our year in review! Like so many of you, we closed out 2019 and rang in New Years Eve 2020 with so much hope for what would lie ahead. OPENING WEEKEND this Sat/Sun and we can't wait to share all the farm fresh family fun & our wide open spaces with you! Sunflowers are in full bloom, lots of pumpkins/gourds and opening weekend is always slower than normal so it's a perfect time to come visit us!!... We have reconstructed our wagon ride wagons due to Covid 19 and have also purchased 56 wheelbarrows(will be here next week) to throw the kids in and make the 2-3 minute walk along a newly built trail to the patch. If you know when you would like to come, we suggest buying tickets soon as they are limited due to Covid 19 and we expect to sell out! Maze will open starting Sept 19th and remain open every Sat, Sun & Thanksgiving Monday until Nov 1st, 2020... Two time slots to choose from each day we are open (3 hours each with 30 mins between each for further sanitation), cost $15/person tax included plus a 68 cent/ticket processing fee. 3 years and under are free. 1030am to 130pm OR 2pm to 5pm So you know upfront, you will be asked to sign a waiver before final purchase that states tickets are non refundable/non transferable. In the event of very rainy weather on the day you selected and ONLY if we OFFICIALLY post on our website and FB that we are closed for the day due to weather OR in the event that public health/government closes all businesses like they did last Spring, your ticket will be honoured in 2021 and no refunds will be issued. Tickets can only be used on the day of purchase during the time slot selected. Why do it this way you ask? Since our revenue will be greatly decreasing and our expenses are greatly increasing, this is the only way for our family to hopefully have enough funds to make our payments and guarantee we will remain in business next year. Final week of our sweetcorn season is here! Our ultra premium SUPERSWEET corn will be in our stands this weekend and fresh picked each day as we never sell day old corn! Grab some for your final corn boil of the year. Tired of the frozen corn you buy in a bag??? Freezing RiverBreeze Corn is simple.....each time we have corn for supper, we cook a few extra cobs, let cool then cut the kernels off with a knife, put in a ziploc and freeze, it's that easy! Remember, you are only b...asically heating corn up to melt butter on it. Bring water to a boil, throw the corn in the water, put the lid on the pot and cook for 3 or 4 minutes and it's done! So excited to share our 2020 Maze aerial taken by our friend George Kharma! This year's design is a nod to what we have all been through together and how we are all triumphing together! Our daytime cornmaze/pumpkin patch will open Sept 19th for the season and run until Halloween weekend! Lots of wide open spaces and fresh country air!!! For now, we can share some details on not only how we can stay stronger together but SAFE together.... we widened our cornmaze trails from th...e usual 6 feet to 10 feet to allow for proper physical distancing. It looks like we may not be able to do wagon rides so we are investing in ooodles of wagons for you to pull to the kids to the pumpkin/sunflower patch (2 minute walk) which will also allow you to haul the pumpkins back to your car! Hand sanitizing will be mandatory before each activity (we have bought hundreds of litres), we are adding extra staff who will do nothing but keep everything sanitized, physical distancing will be required and is easy to do as we are a large outdoor farm and we will be limiting the number of guests per day. Since we are outside and will be physical distancing, just like any park or campground, masks are not required but you will be welcome to wear one if you choose! More details to come... So if the wagon ride does not take place due to Covid 19, what am I, the wagon ride guy, going to do you ask??? I will be giving talks on our Kangaroos Bruce & Tilly throughout the day. This year, I think the talks will be super exciting for this reason........ TILLY HAS A BABY JOEY IN HER POUCH AND WE EXPECT TO SEE IT STICK IT'S HEAD OUT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER. In a nutshell, safety & fun are our family's two main priorities for ourselves and our guests! We safely hosted Canada's largest graduation celebration here on our family farm June 26th as well as our upick this summer. We did this by exceeding public health's requirements and our Fall cornmaze season will be no different! Once again, our family has teamed up with Children's Wish to help create a wish for a young person battling health issues, an organization we are proud to support! All our produce is fresh picked the day you purchase it providing the greatest eating experience possible! Left over produce when we don't sell out goes to the Truro Food bank and the Truro Homeless Outreach Shelter. Available at our Park St & Willow St locations in Truro....
